2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class Spied Facelifted

The prototype of the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class has just been spotted with a mid-cycle update. In case you didn’t know, the current-generation GLS-Class is on the scene from 2019 as a 2020 model. However, the prototype that’s caught testing recently shows only light camouflage gear, allowing us to see some visual tweaks. As we can see, the new model will come with a new front fascia including a better-looking grille.

Unfortunately, it isn’t clear yet what the plan is for the powertrains, but we’re expecting a plug-in hybrid option in the lineup. The GLS-Class currently is available with mighty turbo inline-6 and V-8 engines in mild-hybrid configurations. Anyway, you can also get a more powerful GLS 63 AMG model, which packs a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 producing 603 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque.

2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class Exterior Tweaks

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class spied prototype shows only light camouflage gear. Thanks to that, we have clear look at some visual tweaks. First, the new front fascia of the new GLS is more eye-catchy, and the manufacturer revised the grille and headlights.

Nevertheless, the rear looks better as well, but nothing significant. Basically, the manufacturer only made some changes to the taillights and added a new exhaust system.

Interior Upgrades

As the exterior, the interior of the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class will also receive some tweaks. From the information that we got, the new SUV will borrow some elements from the S-Class, including the same quality, steering wheel design, and model. Also, expect updated graphics for the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system.

Like before, the new GLS comes with a 10.25-inch MBUX infotainment system, and there is also a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster as standard. The list of standard safety tech is longer than before, and it includes active brake assist, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, attention assist, and parking sensors with active parking assist.

2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class Powertrain Specs

As we said, there is no information at the moment on what engines will be offered with the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class. In general, we’re expecting to see at least one new plug-in hybrid option in the GLS lineup.

The current GLS-Class is available with turbocharged inline-6 and V-8 engines in mild-hybrid configurations. Also, you can get a powerful GLS 63 AMG model, which uses a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 making 603 hp.

2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class Price, Release Date

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class in base configuration starts at about $43,850, plus a destination charge. Moreover, you can also add $2,000 if you want 4Matic AWD, which is an opinion-wise choice. The upper trim Mercedes-AMG GLC 43, starts at $59,900, while the GLC 63 SUV begins at around $74,900. The most expensive is a GLC 63 S SUV, with a price of $82,500.

Compared to other models in the class, the GLC is more expensive than the rivals BMW X3 and Audi Q5. Anyway, if you’re looking for a more budget-friendly compact luxury SUV, check out the new Acura RDX, Lincoln Corsair, or Lexus NX models. Considering that this mid-cycle update should be introduced for the 2024 model year, we’re expecting the new model to debut sometime next year.
