The prototype of the 2023 Lincoln Corsair has recently been spotted testing with a refreshed design. Luckily, the new SUV wasn’t wearing a ton of camouflage, and we managed to see many changes. First of all, the design is more attractive than on the outgoing version, thanks to a revised grille, new headlights, and hood.
Notable, the spied Lincoln Corsair comes with a new exhaust system, which indicates a new powertrain, probably the rumored PHEV. Aside from these updates, the manufacturer will also introduce additional technology and features to keep this SUV up to date and relevant.
2023 Lincoln Corsair Facelift
On the exterior side, the 2023 Lincoln Corsair prototype looks more attractive, featuring some changes on the front and rear end. New attractive LED headlights are present, just like the LED taillights with a three-dimensional effect. The same styling revision is applied to the Navigator model as well.
The black Label versions should also be available, and we can expect it to come with a black roof, black mesh grille, and bright chrome. Unlike other models, this one also comes with Chroma Caviar Dark Gray Metallic and Manhattan Green Metallic pains.
Like the Navigator model, the new 2023 Lincoln Corsair will introduce many additional technologies and features inside the cabin. Thanks to that, the Corsair should keep up with other models in the class. We expect it to come with a 13.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, wireless charging, navigation, heated/ventilated/10-way power-adjustable front seats, 3-zone automatic climate control, and much more. Besides that, the manufacturer will add more supportive seats with simulated leather upholstery.
Safety could also be better than on the outgoing model. So, we expect to see driver assistance features like forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, front/side/rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera system.
2023 Lincoln Corsair Engine Specs
At this moment, the manufacturer didn’t reveal any information regarding the engine of the 2023 Lincoln Corsair. Based on many reports, the forthcoming model will likely use a new PHEV system. Basically, it will probably come with the same system as the upcoming Escape model. As far as we know, this SUV will use a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and electric motor for a combined output of 200 horsepower.
According to Blue Oval, the engine will be available with the automatic transmission that sends power to the front wheels. The PHEV is also able to cover 37 miles in electric mode and to full-replenishment battery in 3.5 hours. With a full tank and a battery, the Escape is capable of travelling for 520 miles.
