2023 Ford Escape Offers Three Powertrain Options
Like many of Ford’s models, the new Escape will be offered with a variety of engines. The entry-level model will use a proven 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 181 horsepower. This unit can be chosen with eider a front-wheel drive or an optional all-wheel drive. The acceleration is acceptable, and it can run from 0 to 60 mph in 7.6 seconds.
The more potent is the optional engine. The manufacturer uses a 2.0-liter turbo-four unit, producing 250 horsepower. A smooth eight-speed automatic gearbox is used, like on the base engine. Besides, the hybrid version is available as well and is the main rival to models Toyota RAV4 Prime and Honda CR-V. The hybrid model combined 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors. On top of that, it delivers a total of 220 horses and is much more fuel-efficient than both engines above.
Release Date, Price
As Blue Oval recently reported, the redesigned variant 2023 Ford Escape will happen next summer. However, at this point, there is no info if the manufacturer will introduce this model later in the year. Also, we don’t have a clue how much it will costs.
According to some gossips, the new model will costs slightly higher than the previous generation. The base SUV starts at about $26,500, while the range-topping Titanium trim reaches almost $40,000.
