If you’re looking for an SUV with a stylish appearance and a variety of engine options, then the 2023 Ford Escape is a great option to consider. This small crossover SUV offers one of the most attractive in the segment and is Ford’s best-selling SUV. It has a highly modern interior that can accommodate five passengers comfortably, with decent legroom and headroom behind. For the next year, the cabin will gain more standard equipment and much more high-quality materials.
Besides, Blue Oval also provides a wide range of powertrains. There are precisely three of them, and one of them is a hybrid. The next Escape model from many reports will go on sale next summer.
2023 Ford Escape Exterior
Completely redesigned last year, the new 2023 Ford Escape will gain mid-cycle updates. This compact SUV looks way better thanks to a significant departure from the boxy earlier generations of Ford’s compact SUV. Generally speaking, it has appearances almost the same as the new generation of Ford Focus.
The front fascia dominates as on almost every Ford. It reminds us also of Kia or some Euro-market crossover SUV. Whatever, it’s clear and primarily unique. According to Blue Oval, the aerodynamic is improved, thanks to more oval shape. Even the roof racks have a low profile that will reduce wind resistance.
The 2023 Ford Escape is the upcoming compact SUV that offers a very modern cabin, providing decent room for all five passengers. Like the previous generation, the new model comes in the form of two rows seater. It has a simple, but intuitively arranged dashboard, and the manufacturer added a new fold-down center armrest in the SEL.
Considering a value of this SUV, even the entry-level model is well equipped. It comes with cloth seats, front bucket seats, a 6-speaker stereo, Sync infotainment with Bluetooth, voice recognition, and in-vehicle Wi-Fi for up to 10 devices. Hybrid paired with a Titanium trim is loaded with more amenities. This model adds leather seat trim, power front seats, 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system adaptive cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel.
2023 Ford Escape Offers Three Powertrain Options
Like many of Ford’s models, the new Escape will be offered with a variety of engines. The entry-level model will use a proven 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 181 horsepower. This unit can be chosen with eider a front-wheel drive or an optional all-wheel drive. The acceleration is acceptable, and it can run from 0 to 60 mph in 7.6 seconds.
The more potent is the optional engine. The manufacturer uses a 2.0-liter turbo-four unit, producing 250 horsepower. A smooth eight-speed automatic gearbox is used, like on the base engine. Besides, the hybrid version is available as well and is the main rival to models Toyota RAV4 Prime and Honda CR-V. The hybrid model combined 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors. On top of that, it delivers a total of 220 horses and is much more fuel-efficient than both engines above.
Release Date, Price
As Blue Oval recently reported, the redesigned variant 2023 Ford Escape will happen next summer. However, at this point, there is no info if the manufacturer will introduce this model later in the year. Also, we don’t have a clue how much it will costs.
