America’s best-selling SUV, the Toyota RAV4, will hit stores next year, featuring many upgrades. The new 2023 Toyota RAV4 is a compact crossover SUV that is known for its reliability ratings, modern tech features, and roomy interior. It offers plenty of interior room for both passengers and cargo, and is ideal for small families.
If you didn’t know, the last RAV4 was redesigned two years ago, and we expect the new model to bring a mid-cycle refresh soon. Like the previous model, the forthcoming one will be available with the same 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 203-hp. This unit is hooked with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Moreover, we also expect a hybrid variant as well.
2023 Toyota RAV4 Facelift
The 2023 Toyota RAV4 will look more handsome than before. In general, it will still include some lines of the 4th-generation RAV4. This SUV is eye-catchy thanks to its truck-ish grille and attractive LED headlights. Its design is complemented by a squared-off wheel arch and tough-looking wheel designs.
Moreover, if you choose Adventure or TRD Off-Road trims, you`ll get a Black body cladding, large over-fenders, and model-specific front bumpers grace. The XLE and Limited models should continue with a more elegant look, offering single-paint polished alloy wheels. The latest RAV4 will come standard with 17-inch wheels, but you can still upgrade to 18-inch and 19-inch optionally.
What’s New?
A for the interior, we don’t expect significant upgrades over the current model. Like before, we presume the same comfortable cabin, featuring a mix of soft-touch surfaces and nice plastics. The base LE trim includes cloth seats, a handy steering wheel, and single-zone manual climate control.
Toyota throws a few perks on the upper trim XLE Premium, including the leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, faux-leather upholstery, and a stitched dashboard as the center console armrest. Lower trims will be available with a 7.0-inch touchscreen, but an 8.0-inches can be had, starting from XLE level. Both infotainments support 4G LTE mobile hotspot and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto capability. Overall, you can also add a powerful JBL premium audio system, navigation, and a wireless charging pad for a smartphone optionally.
2023 Toyota RAV4 Engine Specs
The new 2023 Toyota RAV4 will likely use the same 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine as the outgoing model. This engine comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and it produces 203 horses. The front-wheel-drive remains standard, while Toyota still offers a choice of all-wheel-drive systems, dependent on trim.
The hybrid variant is available as well, and it uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors, developing an output of 219 horsepower. All-wheel drive is standard on this model. As far as we know, with this unit, Toyota RAV4 can run to 60 mph in 7.4-second 60-mph time vs. gas 8.0 seconds.
Release Date and Price
The more handsome 2023 Toyota RAV4 will reportedly happen next year. If we can rely on previous releases, we can expect this model sometime before summer. The RAV4 is a well-equipped SUV, even with the base trim. However, you will get more choosing some of the upper trims.
You can get a rugged TRD Off-Road trim, the premium Limited model, and other options in-between. We expect the pricing of the 2023 Toyota RAV4 to be around $27,000 for the base model, while a full-loaded SUV can reach a price of $36,000.
