The 2023 Lexus NX is on the way, and it could come without significant updates. As far as we know, the new SUV will be a typical carryover model, which should introduce mid-cycle upgrades. It would get a new color option, more standard and optional features, while the rest of the vehicle is about to remain the same.
The highlight of this model is its cabin that comes with excellent build quality, offering a great package of modern tech features. Also, the powertrain lineup will remain unchanged, and we can expect the same four options, including two gasoline and hybrid units. Considering mild changes and upgrades, the forthcoming Lexus NX will likely hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year.
2023 Lexus NX Exterior
The new 2023 Lexus NX remains attractive with the same shape and design. This distinctive-looking small luxury SU is very eye-catchy, particularly because of its massive front grille and stylish LED headlights. In general, it reminds us of its sibling RX model.
The tail of this model is updated with L-E-X-U-S script in the center of the rear tailgate, and taillights that run across the entire width of the car. The F Sport trim is the most favorite, featuring 21-inch gloss-black wheels, trim-specific front and rear bumpers, black roof rails, and more.
Cabin Upgrades
The 2023 Lexus NX is an attractive SUV that will come with a modern and spacious cabin. The interior is quiet and comfortable with the great rear legroom. Cargo room is also excellent, measuring 22.7 cubic feet with the rear seats up, and around 47.0 inches with folded seats.
As standard, the Lexus NX comes with a 9.8-inch touchscreen, but you can get a larger 14-inch screen optionally with cloud-based navigation, destination assistant, and more. The NX is also available with a 10-inch head-up display, panoramic moonroof, and ambient lighting.
2023 Lexus NX Engine Specs
The new 2023 Lexus NX is a carryover model that will use four familiar powertrain options. Base models will use a potent 2.5-liter inline-four, which delivers a great output of 203 horsepower. Besides, there is an optional 2.4-liter turbo-four, which offers around 275 horsepower.
Both mentioned engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The more efficient hybrid engines are available as well, and the NX 350h still uses a 2.5-liter engine that puts out around 240 horsepower. Alongside, the manufacturer also offers a plug-in hybrid version, the same one that is available in the Toyota RAV4 Prime model. Unlike the typical hybrid, the PHEV model produces a max output of 302 horsepower. Its worth mentioning that both hybrids come with a CVT transmission.
2023 Lexus NX Release Date, Price
We expect the 2023 Lexus NX to hit the market later this year, with mild changes. The starting price of the base NX 250 model is around $37.500, while the NX 350 starts at $41,500. Moreover, the NX 350h starts slightly lower, at $41,050.
At the top of the line is the NX450h+ that costs $55,560. Considering the prices above, the Lexus NX is in line with the Acura RDX, Volvo XC60, BMW X3, and Mercedes-Benz GLC.
