The all-new 2023 Infiniti QX55 is about to arrive, and we can expect it to feature very attractive styling. The forthcoming compact luxury SUV is riding on the same platform and powertrain that underpins its sibling Infiniti QX50. However, the main differences between the mentioned models are that the Q55 comes with lower roofline and edgier appearance.
Actually, it has similarly swept-back shapes as the BMW X4, Mercedes-Benz GLC, and Audi Q5 Sportback. Under its hood is a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 268-horsepower, and is coupled to a continuously variable automatic transmission and all-wheel drive (AWD) as standard.
2023 Infiniti QX55 First Look
The new 2023 Infiniti QX55 is a compact luxury SUV that has a sleek and modern exterior. As we mentioned, this SUV shares many of features with the QX50 model, including the same platform, powertrain and other things. Despite that, everything else is unique like large double-arch grille, with folded origami-inspired elements, and slim roof rails. The grille looks attractive and is flanked by LED headlights shaped to mimic eyebrows.
Other than that, the QX55 has a very stylish rear, featuring the Infiniti badge on the power liftgate and handsome and athletic look. Some of the exterior colors that you can get are Dynamic Sunstone Red, Slate Gray, Majestic White, Liquid Platinum, Graphite Shadow, Mineral Black, Black Obsidian, and Hermosa Blue.
Modern Interior
The 2022 Infiniti QX55 is a handsome 5-seater that features more comfort than the QX50. It comes standard with power moonroof with tinted glass, which is a big step up. There’s 38.7 inches of rear legroom when the back seat is in its rearmost position, and around 26.9 cubic feet of cargo space in the back.
Standard features on the forthcoming Infiniti QX55 include leatherette upholstery, wireless Apple CarPlay, dual touch screens, aluminum interior accents and dual-zone automatic climate control. There are also three different interior colors available to choose Graphite, Stone/Graphite, and Monaco Red/Graphite.
2023 Infiniti QX55 Powertrain Specs
Like the QX50 model, the new 2023 Infiniti QX55 is an SUV that uses the same powertrain. It’s available with a potent turbo 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that delivers output of 268-horsepower. Also, like the QX50, this SUV is coupled to a continuously variable automatic transmission, and it comes standard with all-wheel drive (AWD).
The engine is powerful enough, and the manufacturer added a few driving modes including Sport, Eco, and Show. As for fuel economy, the current QX50 is EPA city/highway rated with the same engine 23/29 mpg (FWD), 22/28 mpg (AWD).
How Much Will the Infiniti QX55 Cost?
The all-new 2023 Infiniti QX55 is a compact luxury SUV that will go on sale later this year. Beside more attractive styling compared to the QX50, the forthcoming model will also offer a more modern cabin. Despite these changes, the QX55 will ride on the same platform and powertrains as its sibling QX50.
