2023 BMW X6: Everything We Know

The prototype of the upcoming 2023 BMW X6 has finally been spied testing offering athletic and modern design. It’s worth mentioning that the Bavarian SUV was redesigned last year, receiving many upgrades and changes. However, for 2023, it will be carryover with some small exterior and interior upgrades. So, you can count on eye-catching styling, stunning cabin, and numerous customization choices.

Like the outgoing model, the forthcoming BMW X6 is equipped with the same 3.0-liter turbo inline-6, connected to the 48-volt mild hybrid system. Besides this engine, the manufacturer also offers 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 powering X6 M50i and X6 M models.

2023 BMW X6 Redesign

The exterior of the 2023 BMW X6 is more muscular compared to the BMW X5 model. This SUV looks much lower, and it features a sleeker roofline, giving the X6 a more unique and sportier look. On the front end, both models look the same with similar shaped LED headlights and a bulky hood.

On the other hand, on the back, we noticed many differences. First of all, the X6 looks a bit sporty thanks to new taillights, bumper, and sporty exhaust pipes. Of course, choosing either the X6 M50i or an X6 M model, you will get more aggressive styling. It’s worth mentioning that both models will come with adaptive suspensions and M sport differentials.

Cabin Changes

On the inside, the 2023 BMW X6 will receive some small upgrades, but nothing major. Like the previous generation, the upcoming one will come with the same modern layout, offering a pretty comfortable and spacious interior. Unlike its sibling BMW X5, the X6 offers less roomy cabin.

In fact, there’s 6.5 cubic feet less room in the cargo, but with the back seat folded, this SUV has around 12.7 cubic feet less space than the mentioned model. On the technology side, the BMW X6 utilizes twin 12.3-inch screens, on which one is for the infotainment, while another is for the gauge cluster. Also, all X6 models are equipped with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, Bluetooth, and more.

Like all X6s, this variant uses an 8-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. Besides, BMW is also offering two more optional engines. The first one is powering the M50i using a performance twin-turbo V8 that generates 523 hp and 553 lb.-ft of torque.
