If you are looking for an SUV with an eye-catching look, the upcoming 2022 Nissan Xterra is worth considering. After many rumors, the comeback of the popular SUV will happen next year. Some renderings are available and the latest Xterra sports beautiful and compact styling, followed by a comfortable and techy cabin.
Generally speaking, this model is based on the Nissan Frontier pickup truck, sharing many cues. However, unlike the previous generation, the new four-door, two-row SUV will gain some mechanical changes. We also hope that the base model will use an 8.0-inch touchscreen standard, but a 9.0-inch display should be available as well.

2022 Nissan Xterra Powertrain
When the previous-generation Xterra was introduced, it was powered by a potent 4.0-liter V-6 engine. However, the new model will dump that engine, and it will receive the new one. According to the latest news, the same engine that powers the Frontier pickup truck will power the latest Xterra.
This engine consists of a 3.8-liter V-6 unit that produces 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. On top of that, it should use a new nine-speed automatic transmission that is specially made for this SUV. Under the Frontier model, the same engine delivers EPA city/highway fuel economy: 18/24 mpg (RWD), 17/23 mpg (AWD).
