2022 Mercedes-Benz EQE Finally Spied Testing

The new electric member 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQE was spied testing yesterday. This mid-size crossover SUV sits above the current EQC and it is based on the sedan model also called an EQE. Moreover, the new spy shots reveal that the mid-size EQE SUV will feature similar styling as the EQE and EQS sedans.

The design is unique and is characterized by slim headlights whose lines flow into the attractive sealed-off grille. Interestingly, proportions of this are closer to the minivan, similar to the Tesla Model X.

2022 Mercedes-Benz EQE Exterior

The brand-new 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQE looks stylish at first glance. This model basically looks similar to the sedan version. From the new information, the upcoming mid-size vehicle will ride on the Mercedes’ MEA2 dedicated EV platform which also debuts in the EQS.

Thanks to this familiar skateboard design, this model will be able to cross a great range of mileage with one charge. The heavy disguise makes it difficult to see what this model has below the surface. As we can see, the only visible cues on the front of EQE includes slender LED headlights that merge into a single-frame grille. Compared to the EQC, we can see that the manufacturer added stubbier bonnet, longer wheelbase and a more rakish, swept-back cabin. Proportions are boxy and we hope that the final version will be shown soon.

Interior Rumors

There is no much information regarding the 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQE cabin. Generally, there is no available spy image inside to see what is changed compared to the sedan version. From what we heard, the new mid-size SUV will host more upscale materials and techs.

Of course, expect the cabin to be very spacious through two rows of seats, with plenty of legroom behind. Also, we are assuming that this model will feature a new infotainment system different than the sedan model. Mercedes has always been one of the best manufacturers in this department for quality and durability.
