Blue Oval will now introduce both traditional hybrid and plug-in hybrid models. The plug-in hybrid variant comes with a bigger battery pack that offers 30 miles of all-electric driving range. This model comes with a standard front-wheel-drive system. The standard hybrid model offers an all-wheel-drive setup. Ford is still silent on the fuel economy figures. However, the company’s claims are suggesting a range of 550 miles with the 14.2-gallon fuel tank. That means we can expect around 38 mpg combined.

This rating puts 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid in line with rivals such as Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. Moreover, Escape will deliver better fuel economy than the Nissan Rogue Hybrid model. Of course, a 1.5-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost delivers 180 HP and 177 lb-ft of torque. Optional 2.0-liter four-cylinder comes with a turbocharger. It lowers the fuel economy but it can produce up to 245 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of twist.
