The redesigned version of the 2022 Lincoln Nautilus incorporates a much better styling than the outgoing model. However, like the previous version, the new one will keep the same seating layout.
This model comes in the form of a 2-row/5-passenger and is classified as the midsize-luxury SUV. Dimensionally, it slots between the larger Aviator and smaller Corsair in Lincoln’s lineup. For 2022, the cabin has been refined with the latest Sync4 infotainment and a large 13.2-inch horizontal touchscreen. Moreover, as the current version, the new one offers a choice of two powerful engines. As such, the Nautilus is available with two engine options.
2022 Lincoln Nautilus Redesign
Very little has changed on the new 2022 Lincoln Nautilus compared to the outgoing model. Basically, the new SUV looks much like it did last year, and most of the updates are on the front fascia. The front fascia now hosts a full-width strip of chrome that adds a more elegant look. Moreover, like the previous SUV version, the new one features the same attractive Lincoln signature grille that flows seamlessly into the highlights of the vehicle’s bold curves.
On top of that, the manufacturer used more efficient and longer-lasting all-LED exterior lightings that shines more brightly, resulting in much better visibility. Lincoln also offers a Black Edition model that features more attractive styling thanks to many black accents. On top of that, the new SUV is available with several wheel options that range from 18-inch to 21-inch.
Interior Improvements
There are no complaints so far regarding the cabin of the new 2022 Lincoln Nautilus. This SUV has a generous 37.2 cubic feet of cargo room behind its rear seat, which can be increased to 68.8 cubic feet when the back seat is folded. Generally, this SUV is loaded with many premium materials and advanced technology. The beautiful 13.2-inch LCD touchscreen adores the center console with available Connected Built-in Navigation.
Besides, Lincoln also offers a standard Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, a 2-tone steering wheel, and the Co-Pilot360 safety suite. Like the Co-Pilot360 system used in Ford vehicles, this suite bundles safety and driver-assist features such as automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring.
Engine Specs
Under the hood, the new 2022 Lincoln Nautilus offers a choice of two powerful engines. The base model uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder powertrain that is good for 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque.
However, alongside this engine, Lincoln also offers one more option. It offers a twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 that generates 335 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque. Both engines share the same 8-speed automatic transmission. The base Nautilus uses a front-wheel-drive (FWD) system, while V6 comes standard with an all-wheel-drive (AWD). Both models can tow a maximum of 3,500 pounds.
How Much Does the 2022 Lincoln Nautilus Cost?
The 2022 Lincoln Nautilus in front-wheel-drive form starts at $41,940. However, with an all-wheel-drive (AWD), the price rises by $2500. The top Nautilus model Black Label begins at $65,090. According to the manufacturer, the redesigned version should be available sometime this year.
