The all-new high-performance SUV, 2022 Cadillac Escalade V, has been spotted testing two days ago. Generally, the current Cadillac Escalade has been on sale for a year, providing unmatched presence, attractive styling, and an interior that can match other rivals in the same segment.
However, compared to the regular model, the Escalade V version will bring many noticeable improvements. First of all, it features a more attractive and revised front fascia followed by a quartet of square-shaped exhaust tips. The exhaust tips on the latest Cadillac’s CT4-V and CT5-V sport sedans also feature the same square shape. In addition, some rumors point that the upcoming version will be available with a 650-hp 6.2-liter V-8 or a 277-hp 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-6.
2022 Cadillac Escalade V Design
The new 2022 Cadillac Escalade V marks the entry of the sports SUV into the market. The spotted model, at first glance, looks very similar to the regular version. Basically, the upcoming SUV is sharing the same dimensions and some of the cues with it.
However, we noticed that the Escalade V clearly have unique bodywork and the new quad-tip exhaust. The current regular model comes with fake dual-exit exhaust pipes. Besides, it also deploys more stylish black wheels. According to many reports, an electric Escalade is also in the works, and its design will most likely to be the most unique.
Packed with a luxurious interior, the new 2022 Cadillac Escalade V is a pinnacle of the offer. This version will feature many upgrades compared to the regular one. However, considering that it sits on the same platform and is dimensionally the same, we should expect a very roomy cabin.
The Cadillac Escalade will be available with a choice of 5 trims, including Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury Platinum, and Sports Platinum. However, the highlight is the all-new Cadillac V that comes with a 38-inch curved OLED dashboard with overlapping screens. On top of that, features like heated and ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, and leather seats are standard.
2022 Cadillac Escalade V Engine Specs
Under the hood, the 2022 Cadillac Escalade V will most likely use some of the existing engines. Generally, some rumors reveal that buyers should have two options to choose from. The first powertrain is a 6.2-liter V-8 capable of delivering 640 hp and 650 lb.-ft of torque.
However, the other one optional is a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-6 that makes 277-hp. As you can see, both powertrains offer adequate performance, but neither of them is yet EPA rated. However, the manufacturer didn’t clarify what transmission will be used.
Release Date, Price
The 2022 Cadillac Escalade V prototype has been caught recently heavily camouflaged. Reportedly, the manufacturer is also working on the ESV version, which should be introduced at the same point this year as the Escalade V.
As we said, the upcoming Escalade V is a high-performance SUV that will look much more attractive than the regular model. It also offers more standard features and better off-road abilities. The manufacturer didn’t reveal its price yet, but from many reports, it might start at $110,000.
