One of the best SUVs nowadays that is wearing a great design is definitively the new 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport. Unlike the regular model, the Sport model features better and aggressive styling. However, the new model will arrive as a carryover model, so we don’t expect significant changes. Nissan has elevated the styling of the upcoming model with some small changes and updates here and there.
Like the previous model, the upcoming Nissan Rogue Sport will deploy the same engine. Under the hood of this model is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 141 horsepower.
2021 Nissan Rogue Sport Exterior Updates
As you may already know, the first Nissan Rogue Sport had been introduced in 2017, and it took much attention with its styling. However, over the years, this model becomes Nissan`s most popular SUV in its line. In 2019, this model received some updates that involve some modifications mostly on the front end. So, because these changes are relatively fresh, we expect the 2021 Nissan Rogue to come with minimal exterior updates.
As a carryover, the upcoming 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport will use the same platform as the previous model. Also, the same design and shape are present. However, we can see some small visual modifications that give this model an indistinguishable better look compared to the 2019 model. These small updates can be seen on the wide V-motion grille, sleek headlights with LED signatures, and LED fog lights. Besides that, Nissan also has added two new colors Nitro Lime Metallic and Monarch Orange Metallic.
Interior Looks Sporty
Inside, the new 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport host a spacious and surprisingly sporty cabin. Furthermore, because it sits on the same platform as the predecessor, we can expect the same arrangments. With two rows of seats, this model can host five occupants comfortably.
On top of that, the manufacturer added more features and now this model included a flat-bottom steering wheel, gloss-black trim, a 7-inch touchscreen, leather upholstery, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity with audio streaming, a USB port, a four-speaker audio system, and much more.
In the safety department, the 2021 Rogue Sport has all the standards to get the best rating. However, IIHS has yet to complete testing. This model comes standard with automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, forward-collision warning. Also, the manufacturer will add automatic rear braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
2021 Nissan Rogue Sport Under the Hood
The upcoming Nissan Rogue Sport is the model that will be powered with a single-engine option. Under this model is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder powertrain that produces 141 horsepower. Like the previous model, the new one will use the same continuously variable transmission. This setup will send power to the front wheels as standard, while all-wheel drive is still optional.
Pricing and Release Date
Duo to the outbreak with Coronavirus, the release date of the new 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport is delayed. So, we can expect this model to debut later this year. Pricing is also unknown, but because of mid-cycle refreshments, we expect it to be around $24,335. The latest 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport will continue to compete with the Chevy Trax, Hyundai Tucson, and Kia Sportage.
