2021 Lexus GX Spied Hiding Its Nose Jobs

The facelifted 7-seater luxury-midsize-crossover 2021 Lexus GX is happening. This model has been caught testing recently with minimal camo. In addition, the manufacturer used minimum wraps trying to hide nose jobs. Like before, this model will be built on the aging body-on-frame construction and it will use powerful naturally aspirated V8 powertrain. This thing is a serious machine with a sturdy character.

Alongside that and primarily thanks to great design, spacious cabin, the new model will be more competent. The models in the same category, including Land Rover Discovery, Acura MDX, Audi Q7, BMW X5, and Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class.

The redesigned version 2021 Lexus GX will bring many improvements. This big SUV offers a great design and is one of the best selling models. Moreover, changes this year will include a more massive grille and better-shaped triple-beam LED headlights that come standard.

In terms of aerodynamics, according to the manufacturer, this model will see some improvements. So, thanks to that and primarily to the use of light materials, we can expect better fuel efficiency. However, the same dimension and boxy shape remain and there are several advantages of that, like more headroom and cargo space.

In terms of design, the upcoming 2021 Lexus GX will feature more premium materials inside. This model will come with the same layout and through three rows offers seven-occupant seating. All seats provide maximum comfort and the second row splits and folds in 40/20/40 fashion, while the third row folds flat. The front bench is spacious for adults as the second-row. However, we cannot tell the same for the third row that only can host kids.

The base and Premium versions offer a long list of features. For example, the manufacturer added NuLuxe simulated-leather upholstery and more techs. Entertainment and phone connectivity are standard as the new 8-inch touch screen, 9-speaker AM/FM/CD display audio system, Bluetooth, four USB ports, compatibility with Siri Eyes Free iPhone, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant, and also Enform apps suite.

On the safety side, the new 2021 Lexus GX is a very safe SUV. This model includes 10 airbags, Lexus’ Safety Connect system with 24/7 emergency services, and advanced Lexus Safety System Plus with all the necessary driver aids.

There will be no mechanical changes under this model at all. The same engine and transmission will be used to powers the 2021 Lexus GX 460. Propulsion comes from a 4.6-liter V8 that delivers a significant output amount of 301 horsepower. Like the predecessor, the new model will also use the same all four wheels system as standard and it will send power through an outdated and reliable 6-speed automatic transmission. This transmission also includes a 2-speed transfer case and a locking center differential for serious off-roading.

If rumors are to be believed, the fuel economy will be improved. The current model with the same powertrain delivers EPA city/highway fuel economy of 15/19 mpg.

Price and Release Date

The latest 2021 Lexus GX 460 will starts with the same Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $53,000. This price doesn’t include a destination charge that costs an additional $1,025 and that comes to $54,025.

Premium trim is recommended and it features more luxury for $56,815. At the top of the range is the Luxury version. This variant will bring more safety and techs inside. Thanks to that, the price of this model will jump to $65,290. However, adding more features to this trim can easily reach $70,000.

In the same price range category are models such as Audi Q7, BMW X5, Land Rover Discovery, while the Acura MDX is much less expensive.
