2021 Land Rover Defender V8 Spotted Testing Outside Nürburgring

The prototype of 2021 Land Rover Defender V8 has been spotted outside Nürburgring, Germany. At first glance, the upcoming model looks almost identical to a regular Land Rover Defender 110. However, when we look closer, we notice some improvements.

Also, according to the manufacturer, the tested vehicle is in the early stage of development and expects more changes in the final version. The finished production version will feature new bumpers front and rear, bigger wheels, and a different hood to separate itself from its weaker siblings. Under the hood of Defender is a powerful V8 powertrain capable of producing 500 horses.

The new 2021 Land Rover Defender V8 is featuring identical styling as the regular one. This model is available in four-door body style. The test model has been spied and we firstly noticed details like bigger brakes, huge side openings, and quad tailpipes. Thanks to that, there is no doubt that V8 powertrain is definitively hiding under bonnet.

Interior Will Mostly Remain the Same

The interior of the upcoming 2021 Land Rover Defender V8 will not depart too much from the regular one. Like on the regular model, the same styling inside is present. This model is very comfortable. It comes with three rows of seats and there is enough room for seven occupants.

The cabin is stylish and it sits between premium and utilitarian. The dashboard of Defender V8 is clean and it also sports a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that runs a brand-new interface called Pivi Pro. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also both standard, like a navigation system. Optionally one can get a higher-end digital gauge cluster and a head-up display. Cargo space behind the rear seat is acceptable and it is on pair with famous Jeep Wrangler. Moreover, rear seats can be folded and thanks to that, this opens up a much larger cargo bay.

Among the slew of available driver-assistance technology, the new Land Rover Defender V8 features several unique systems. The standard package includes automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and also an adaptive cruise control.

Land Rover is going to reveal its new SUV Defender V8 sometime in 2021. As we mentioned, the testing mule is caught, but according to Land Rover, we can expect more changes in the final version. The pricing of the upcoming SUV has not yet declared.
