2021 BMW X8 Design Comparison With the X7
The new renderings of the upcoming 2021 BMW X8 are available. At first glance, the X8 silhouette reflects X6 and X7 models. As you can see, all models are closely related. However, X8 has a unique style and is more coupe. Interestingly, the front fascia is almost identical. The X8 features the same large kidney seven vertical slots grille that looks very premium. Also, as we can see, the manufacturer added a thinner LED headlights giving more aggressive styling.
However, the most significant change can be seen on the side profile. The shape is different than on the X7, and X8 offers more coupe styling. At the back, the rectangular exhaust system is presently giving a more sporty vibe.
Interior Rumors
Inside, the upcoming 2021 BMW X8 SUV will definitively be more premium than its sibling X7. However, we heard that the new 2021 BMW X8 would come with the same layout as the X7. The interior should remain modern, and it will feature a cleaner design.
Like its sibling, we are assuming that the brand’s new SUV will feature three rows of seats. However, because of coupe styling, rear passengers can lack some legroom and headroom. From the various reports, the base trim level should come standard with very comfortable seats and black SensaTec upholstery. However, expect plenty of optional features like a two-tone interior scheme along with the Panoramic Sky Lounge LED roof.
2021 BMW X8 Powertrain Specs
Under the hood, the new BMW X8 will most likely use the same engine options as the X7 version. Generally, if that happens, the X7 model offers very potent powertrain options. The first powertrain is a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that produces 335 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque. However, if you’re seeking more power, the xDrive50i version is an ideal choice. This model comes with a 4.4-liter V8 turbocharged engine and output that is rated at 456 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque.
The top speed of X7 is rated at 155 mph, and we can probably expect the same with the X8. Interestingly, there are some speculations that M” variant could also become available at the same time. This model will probably use a 4.4-liter V8 engine that generates 523 horses.
Release Date and Price
The forthcoming 2021 BMW X8 is arriving, and it will be based on the X7 model. Basically, both models share plenty of similar features. However, X8 could be more expensive because it will introduce more upscale and high-end techs.
