Unlike the base model, the GT trim level comes with more standard equipment. On top of that, the 2020 Kia Soul GT will get more tech than the current model. The forthcoming 2020 Kia Soul GT comes with two drivetrain options. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder is a standard engine that delivers 147 HP and 132 lb-ft of torque. A 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine is optional. This unit comes with a turbocharger and it delivers 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of twist. A CVT transmission is available and it provides a smoother ride. On the other hand, the standard engine still uses a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
Fuel Economy
Fuel economy is rated at 27 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. These figures for the standard engine are above most of the competitors. The optional engine provides slightly lower fuel economy numbers.
2020 Kia Soul GT Price and Release Date
The upcoming 2020 Kia Soul GT will hit the dealerships this November. The price of the GT trim level starts at $27,500. On the other hand, the base model will cost around $20,000. Kia Soul is available in six trim levels. The GT trim is the mid-range trim level that offers plenty of sportiness. The range-topping trim level cost over $40,000. Even the Kia Soul EV model will arrive in the coming months.
