While the diesel variant will arrive in the coming months, a hybrid drivetrain is also the most likely outcome. Ford’s well-known plan about electrifying most of the company’s vehicles will not go around the Expedition model.

The next year model is the most likely candidate for the hybrid variant, and it should deliver better performance and fuel economy. At the moment, it is not clear what type of electric motor or motors will Blue Oval carmaker use.
