The two-inch receiver hitch is behind the block-out panel. Liftgate activates by the swing motion so loading groceries is easier than ever. The wheelbase of the newest model is 122.5 inches, while the length is 210 inches.
2019 Ford Expedition Hybrid
While the diesel variant will arrive in the coming months, a hybrid drivetrain is also the most likely outcome. Ford’s well-known plan about electrifying most of the company’s vehicles will not go around the Expedition model.
The next year model is the most likely candidate for the hybrid variant, and it should deliver better performance and fuel economy. At the moment, it is not clear what type of electric motor or motors will Blue Oval carmaker use.

Sync 3 infotainment system now supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Wireless phone charger is optional and it is placed under the HVAC controls. A Pro Trailer Backup Assist system is available as an option and it is a perfect system for the average drivers. Thanks to that, you can now back a trailer like a driver with experience.
2019 Ford Expedition powertrain specs
The all-new 2019 Ford Expedition will ride on a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine. This drivetrain is taken from the Blue Oval’s famous truck, you can take a guess if you want to. Yes, from the F-150 model. This unit generates 375 HP and 470 lb-ft of torque. With those figures, Expedition slots above the Chevy’s V8 unit that produces 355 HP and 385 lb-ft of twists. However, this is not everything.
The Platinum trim will use the same engine that is slightly re-tuned. Thanks to that, Platinum model can produce up to 400 HP and 480 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission is available and it feels smooth while shifting gears.
Towing capacity and modes
While it can accommodate up to eight passengers, the 2019 Ford Expedition can also tow up to 9,300 pounds. Rear-wheel drive is standard and part-time four-wheel drive is optional. You can switch from one setup to other thanks to the buttons placed on the center console. Seven driving modes are on the offer: Normal, sport, tow, Eco, grass, sand and mud.
2019 Ford Expedition price and release date
The pricing is not available at the moment, but we expect that the 2019 Ford Expedition will be competitive as in all other segments. On the other hand, don’t expect the price below $45,000. A Platinum model will cost up to $70,000 and it offers premium features and performances exclusively. This 2019 Ford Expedition model will go on sale in the first months of 2019.
