2024 GMC Acadia Spied Testing Heavily Disguised

2024 GMC Acadia

The current-generation GMC Acadia has been around for a while. It first appeared in 2016 as a 2017 model, and today we get our first glimpse at its successor. The redesigned 2024 GMC Acadia has been seen being tested under extensive disguise.

Most of the details are hidden by the thick covers, but a sharp eye might spot some interesting details. This test SUV seems to be somewhat bigger than the current Acadia. We think it will get bigger and get a tougher attitude, like the first-generation model. The photographer took a picture of the upcoming SUV with its headlights on, and we can clearly see that it has a split design like the latest generation of the GMC Canyon, which came out earlier this year. Smaller lights at the top seem narrow and thin, whereas larger C-shaped housings with lights farther down appear wider and thicker.

2024 GMC Acadia Facelift

Though almost everything was covered, our photographer was able to get some interesting photos. First of all, the 2024 GMC Acadia seems to be fairly massive and bulky. The quarter panels are very wide, but the large grille and new headlights may make the design stand out more.

There are also a pair of brilliant exhaust tips, the same we saw on the Chevrolet Blazer EV and Equinox EV. However, without a doubt, this SUV isn’t electric. Nevertheless, it looks refreshed, and we cannot wait to see the final product.

First Look Inside

Even though almost everything was concealed from view, our photographer was able to sneak a peek inside the new 2024 GMC Acadia. Despite this, our source was able to vouch for the presence of Super Cruise in the brand-new cabin. There is also a new digital instrument display behind the steering wheel and a new center display that goes over the temperature vents.

Based on the latest information, you can count on many driver assistance features. This includes lane-keeping assistance, front and rear parking sensors, a Following Distance Indicator, automatic high beams, and a Teen Driver feature. It should also be possible to get a forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection.

2024 GMC Acadia Engine Specs

At this stage, we do not have any knowledge of what may be changed or updated underneath the new body. So far, this model has been offered with either a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 228 horsepower or a 3.6-liter V6 engine that is capable of producing 310 horsepower.

The new Canyon and the Chevrolet Colorado both use a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine. This engine could be changed to work in the Acadia, which could lead to an unexpected turn of events. Depending on the tune, that single engine produces between 237 and 310 horsepower.

Release Date and Price

Our clandestine informants anticipate that the next-generation Acadia will debut as a 2024 model. This indicates that a launch should take place sometime in the following year, most likely in the first half of 2023. The manufacturer’s current retail price (MSRP) for the Acadia SLE with front-wheel drive is $35,000 plus a destination fee.

Before options, the AT4 begins at $41,600 while the Denali starts at $46,800. With all of the options, the top trim might cost more than $55,000. The Kia Telluride, Hyundai Palisade, Toyota Highlander, Subaru Ascent, Nissan Pathfinder, and the new Mazda CX-9 are among the most closest competitors.
