2023 Toyota Sequoia Hybrid First Look

The new full-size 2023 Toyota Sequoia Hybrid will arrive later this year, sharing the same platform with the Tundra model. It is worth noting that the platform is called TNGA-F, which is also available on the models Land Cruiser and Lexus LX.

For 2023, the Tundra will be way more attractive thanks to its sibling, and it finally uses a solid rear axle instead of an independent setup as we saw on the Chevy Tahoe, Ford Expedition, and Jeep Wagoneer. As far as we know, the manufacturer will offer this model with only one engine choice. The new SUV uses a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 hybrid system that’s capable of producing 437-hp.

2023 Toyota Sequoia Hybrid Exterior

The forthcoming 2023 Toyota Sequoia looks way more attractive than before. Compared to Tundra, the Sequoia’s grille is somewhat downsized. From the information that we got, it seems that it is about 10 percent smaller. However, the rest of the front is similar to Tundra, including the same shaped headlights.

The rear of this SUV is also recognized, and it comes with a similar thin taillight as the Tundra. Overall, design is attractive, and the new Sequoia is available in exterior color choices like Lunar Rock and Supersonic Red.

Interior

On the inside, the 2023 Toyota Sequoia Hybrid looks refreshed and many improvements are also available on the Tundra. With the base trim SR5, you’ll get an 8.0-inch touchscreen, while a large 14.0-inch touchscreen is available only on upper trims. It is worth noting that the 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster is standard, as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability.

Just in case with its predecessor, the new Sequoia can be chosen with either a second-row bench or captain’s chairs. The third-row bench seat can fold and slide up to six inches, offering more cargo capacity. We also expect to see more driver assist features than before.

2023 Toyota Sequoia Hybrid Specs

The new 2023 Toyota Sequoia is the SUV that arrives with a standard hybrid powertrain. It shares the same platform with a Tundra model. However, unlike the Tundra, which comes with a non-hybrid twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V-6, the Sequoia comes standard with the iForce MAX hybrid setup.

The new SUV thanks to an electric motor provides 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque. It also comes as standard with a 10-speed automatic transmission and 1.5-kWh nickel-metal-hydride battery pack. Toyota hasn’t announced its fuel-economy estimates yet, but we know that the Sequoia will be able to tow up to 9000 pounds. Compared to Tundra model, this is 600 pounds more.
