The more attractive 2023 Infiniti QX80 is coming. From the information that we got, the forthcoming SUV will introduce many novelties. Though we saw a considerable refresh last year, this model remains one of the oldest SUVs in its class. The current generation debuted in 2010, and since then, it receives over the years some slight upgrades. However, we expect the upcoming QX80 to be a carryover model that will gain more upgrades than the previous one.
Nevertheless, this SUV remains big, blocky, and there’s no reason to change it now. Besides exterior upgrades, this model should also introduce a more comfortable cabin.
Is Infiniti QX80 a Good SUV?
The 2023 Infiniti QX80 benefitted from the last redesign, and it still looks fresh. It’s a very big SUV, measuring nearly 209 inches. However, a model for 2023 will be carryover once again. From the information that we got, it should get a revised grille, slimmer headlights, and also taillights. We think that the tasteful new vents on the fenders help this model to really stand out from the crowd.
The side profile will also be more attractive, and we can expect a vast number of tires and rims. A 22-inch wheel should remain available on top models.
Cabin Changes
Inside, the new 2023 Infiniti QX80 will get many upgrades. Moreover, it will come in the same form, offering room for seven passengers through three rows of seats. From what we heard, the QX80 model loads more premium and other upscale materials. Seats are also more supportive, and the room in the first two rows of seats is excellent.
On top of that, Infiniti offers a rear seat with an updated infotainment system with a dual-screen setup. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. More luxury is available on the upper trims. So, choosing the QX80 Sensory flagship, you’ll get quilted semi-aniline leather upholstery, speed-sensitive power steering, and 17-speaker Bose audio system. Standard driver assists are much more prosperous, include automatic emergency braking, a lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic detection, and a blind-spot monitor.
2023 Infiniti QX80 Powertrain Specs
Under its hood, the 2023 Infiniti QX80 will remain unchanged. Like the previous generation, we can expect the new variant to be powered by a 5.6-liter V8 that cranks out 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque.
As you can see, this engine is handling very well and is still very competitive. The low entry models come standard with a rear-wheel drive, while all four wheels are optional. The fun fact is that the latest Nissan Armada deploys the same engine, producing even more horses.
Release Date, Price
At this point, Infinity hasn’t announced the 2023 QX80 on-sale date yet. We can expect this model to arrive sometime in fall 2022, based on previous release schedules.
Pricing is also unclear, but with minor changes, the price range will remain close to the current model. The entry-level model starts at $70,445, and it can go up to $84,695 (destination fees included). There are many SUVs available on the market, and the closest ones are the Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator, and Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class.
