The forthcoming 2023 Genesis GV60 is about to shake up the luxury SUV segment with a more attractive appearance. As far as we know, the forthcoming model will receive some refreshments, and we should expect it to debut at the end of spring this year. Unlike the other Genesis models, the forthcoming SUV will be all-electric.
One of the best characteristics of this EV is that it will offer near-instantaneous access to its available 429 horsepower motors. On top of that, the Genesis GV60 is able to travel around 248 miles on a single charge. Standard AWD is available, just like Boost Mode that gives this SUV an extra helping of grin-inducing power as you rip past the pavement.
2023 Genesis GV60 Design
The luxurious Korean-built EV will arrive with a very futuristic appearance. The new GV60 will be based on an enlarged GV70 version, and it will ride on a dedicated Electric-Global Modular Platform. In case you didn’t know, the same chassis underpins the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6 models.
According to Genesis, the GV60 is a high-performance electric vehicle that features sleek and athletic coupé crossover utility vehicle (CUV) design. It is recognized mostly on the front end thanks to two lines of lamps and a signature Crest Grille. At the rear, this model has a sleek coupe roof that ends with a distinctive fixed wing spoiler. It also has rear fenders, and attractive Two Line taillights.
Comfortable Interior
The 2023 Genesis GV60 is the smallest SUV in the Genesis lineup. Anyway, despite it being not as spacious as the larger GV70 model, this SUV still offers a very comfortable cabin. The interior design is also unique and the GV60 boasts some novel tech as standard.
It will come with a facial recognition system unlocking and starting the vehicle without a key. In general, Genesis will demonstrate its power through many new technologies, including a large infotainment system, fingerprint reader, virtual mirrors, and so on.
2023 Genesis GV60 Motor Specs
The 2023 Genesis GV60 will be available with three different powertrains. The first one uses a rear-wheel drive setup that consists of one 225-hp electric motor, while the second one features an all-wheel drive arrangement with dual motors making a combined 314-hp.
The performance model use two motors, standard all-wheel drive, providing a combined horsepower rating of 429. Genesis claims that the performance model will also be capable of hitting 60 mph in just 4.0 seconds. GV60 will offer driving range per charge at an estimated 280 miles, while other models should range 249 miles per charge or 229 miles. All versions will use the same 77.4-kWh battery pack.
2023 Genesis GV60 Release Date, Price
Genesis claims that the new GV60 will hit showrooms at the end of spring. Unfortunately, the company officials didn’t release any information about the pricing of the newest GV60.
Anyway, we expect this model to start at around $55,000, which will help it to compete with rivals such as the upcoming Audi Q4 e-tron, the Volvo XC40 Recharge, and the coupe-like C40 Recharge. We can expect more information about the price and equipment in the coming weeks.
