The redesigned version of the 2022 Nissan Rogue Sport crossover SUV is ready to receive some updates. This model has been recently spotted testing wearing a full-body camo. Generally, from what we saw, the new SUV looks more attractive than before.
However, proportions and shapes look similar to the current model, though more modern styling is present. Like many Nissan models, the design language has been inspired by concepts like the Xmotion and IMQ. According to the Japanese auto giant, the plan is to release a fleet of models, including new and updated ones.
2022 Nissan Rogue Sport Exterior
Test mules of the redesigned 2022 Nissan Rogue Sport crossover have recently been snapped revealing some of the new upgrades. This model features sleek proportions that not allowing us to see below the camouflage. However, we collected some of the information, and they actually connect to the new spy photos.
First of all, Nissan Rogue Sport wears a bold new look, featuring boomerang-shaped LED headlamps and an attractive V-Motion corporate grille. The same graphic we saw on the latest Juke and larger Rogue models. Also, this time the manufacturer added a new SUV-effect with plastic cladding around the lower air dam, wider wheel arch moldings, and rocker panels. Overall, as you can see, the design is much aggressive, and Nissan Rogue looks more competitive. We also got some of the renderings that confirm all that.
Cabin Refreshments
Inside, Nissan is putting a lot of effort to make the cabin of the latest Rogue more pleasant. From the latest information, the new model will probably feature the same styling as the bigger Rogue/X-Trail.
The list of goodies will be longer, and buyers can expect digital instrument clusters, a head-up display, new 9.0-inch floating tablet-style infotainment, Apple CarPlay, and so on. As for safety, all models will include Nissan’s ProPilot featuring adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping, and Nissan’s Safety Shield 360 on upper trims.
2022 Nissan Rogue Sport Powertrain Options
Right now, it isn’t clear what powertrains will be offered with the 2022 Nissan Rogue Sport. Generally, it might use the same engine as the predecessor. If that happens, buyers can expect the same 2.0-liter inline-4 that produces 141 horsepower.
However, some gossip suggests that it might be paired with a new mild-hybrid setup. Moreover, we heard many rumors recently, and one of them is that the Nissan Rogue Sport might be all-electric. However, this will not happen for sure, considering that Nissan will instead launch the Ariya electric crossover in late 2021.
Release Date and Price
Nissan is working hard on a fleet of new and updated models. In addition to the redesigned Rogue Sport, the manufacturer will also release Ariya electric model next year, as well as Armada, Pathfinder, and Frontier models.
Pricing is not yet available, but we just got information that the Rogue Sport compact crossover SUV is likely to reach dealers in 2021 as a 2022 model. If you didn’t know, this model on other markets is badged as the X-Trail.
