If you are looking for a SUV that offers a comfortable ride and luxurious interior, the forthcoming 2022 Lexus RX 350 is a great model to consider. Generally, this 3rd-row model is the most desirable luxury midsize SUV/crossovers, featuring all you need for everyday use. It’s big, attractive and most importantly very modern.
However, more priciest and more technically sophisticated rivals such as the BMW X5, Audi Q5, and the electric Tesla Model X offer much more for the invested money. Overall, Lexus RX 350 is one class below, but it’s still unique and competitive in many ways.
2022 Lexus RX 350 Exterior
The exterior of the 2022 Lexus RX 350 looks somehow refreshed, but nothing significant is changed. Dimensionally, this SUV is the same, measuring length of 192.5 inches, 67.7 inches of height, a width of 74.6 inches, and a wheelbase of 109.8 inches. However, for the 350L, the width and the wheelbase are exactly the same, while the length is extended to 196.9 inches.
The new Lexus RX 350 features the revised grille this time and an unmistakable floating roofline. Like its predecessor, the upcoming model comes with the same Premium Triple-Beam LED headlamps. However, more sportiness is available with the F-Sport model. This version includes a distinctive front bumper, grille design that reflect its performance roots, and attractive 20-inch wheels with a dark graphite finish.
Interior Upgrades
Lexus has done a great job inside. The forthcoming 2022 Lexus RX 350 offers fine materials like soft leather, textured metallic or wood trims, and soft-touch plastics. The cabin is comfortable, and the most important, a very spacious. While it’s not quite the cargo-hauling champ, the latest Lexus RX with the second row folded can place 24 cases. Generally, it matched capacity of the Cadillac XT5.
Unlike the previous generation, the new Lexus RX 350 will feature more standard equipment. This model includes an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen with the possibility to upgrade to the 12.3-inch display. It also comes with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and onboard Wi-Fi, in-dash navigation, a nine-speaker setup, and access to the Lexus Enform App Suite.
2022 Lexus RX 350 Engine Specifications
Like the predecessor, the latest 2022 Lexus RX 350 will deploy the same 3.5-liter V6. This engine under the hood of Lexus RX 350 develops 295 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. The same engine also powers RX 350 F Sport version. However, when choosing the RX 350L or RX 350L F Sport, buyers will get the same powertrain but with fewer outputs.
Both models deliver 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. Also, all versions come with front wheels (FWD) and 8-speed automatic transmission. However, if you need more outputs, the hybrid 2021 RX 450h and RX 450hL with a battery-electric powertrain generate 308 horses.
