Chevrolet will offer three engine variants on the Blazer. The standard engine consists of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 193 horsepower and 188 pound-feet of torque. This engine is only front-wheel drive. However, the manufacturer also offers a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which is more potent, producing 227 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque.
The last and the most powerful is a 3.6-liter V6 engine that is rated 308 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. Unlike the first two engines, this one comes standard with an all-wheel drive. Also, a successor will be paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
2022 Chevy Blazer Release Date, Price
The release of the new 2022 Chevrolet Blazer hasn’t been announced yet. However, according to many reports, the refreshed midsize SUV has an estimated on-sale date of summer 2021. As a carryover model, we should expect it to remain in the same pricing range of $29,995 to $43,695 with destination fees.
There are currently many two-row midsize SUVs on the market, and the closest rivals to the Blazer are the Hyundai Santa Fe, Nissan Murano, Ford Edge, and Jeep Grand Cherokee.
