The forthcoming 2021 Toyota Sequoia will finally get a redesign. The arriving model will be perfect for larger families. On the other hand, this SUV is so versatile that we can recommend it to anyone. It comes with quite remarkable design and modern styling.
The full-size SUV is present for over a decade now and it comes with tradition and reliability. On top of that, Sequoia is a very off-road capable model. Overall, it is a complete package that you need to have. The redesign will include numerous changes in terms of design. Moreover, the interior will also get plenty of upgrades.
2021 Sequoia Exterior Redesign
New 2021 Toyota Sequoia will introduce a redesign. The full-size SUV is known for its long list of features. Whatsoever, most of the features are offered as standard. New Sequoia comes with LED lighting system. That includes both headlights and daytime running lights. Furthermore, fog lights and taillights are also equipped with LED technology.
The new model will also get more chrome accents, especially around the lower bumper. Optional moonroof looks impressive and we like the new styling. The grille looks much sharper and it will introduce new horizontal slats. Toyota will offer new black panels and side profile will look even better now. New optional wheels are larger than before.
Interior Layout, Features and Systems
Some parts of the new interior are not available yet. However, you can expect a total interior revamp inside the 2021 Toyota Sequoia. On the other hand, the interior layout will largely remain. That means there will be eight seats across the three rows. New Sequoia won’t change dimensionally. For that reason, full-size SUV will retain its generous legroom and headroom. On top of that, you can opt for a seven-seat interior configuration.
With this setup, legroom is additionally improved. New moonroof provides a perfect view of the night sky. Second-row occupants will get rear-seat control with up to three 12V auxiliary outlets. Sequoia also comes with a privacy glass that is optional. Forthcoming SUV will introduce numerous safety equipment and it is one of the safest full-size SUVs on the market.
Reliable V8 Engine Remains
Under the bonnet, there won’t be any type of changes. The upcoming 2021 Toyota Sequoia will continue to ride on the same and proven 5.7-liter V8. This reliable powertrain is present for a couple of years. It produces 381 horses and 400 lb-ft of torque. Standard output comes with a variable valve timing system and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. A rear-wheel-drive setup is standard once again. Of course, the customers can still opt for a four-wheel-drive system.
This configuration offers a part-time 4WD and it slightly lowers the fuel economy rating. Speaking of which, Sequoia offers 13 mpg in the city and 17 mpg on the highway. This is perhaps the main issue with this model. Optional engine with better fuel efficiency would surely attract more customers. However, a hybrid model is still just speculation. Surely, Toyota could dominate the full-size segment with the Sequoia Hybrid variant.
