2021 Nissan Murano Redesign, Platinum Trim

The forthcoming 2021 Nissan Murano is almost ready to arrive. This model is known as a comfortable, substantial, and refined crossover SUV that comes with two rows of seats and room for five occupants. Dimensionally, the new model sits between the compact Nissan Rogue and the bigger 3-row Pathfinder, and it is a direct competitor to the SUVs like Ford Edge, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Honda Passport, and new Chevrolet Trailblazer.

The Japanese manufacturer will update a new model, and we can expect premium design and enhanced safety offerings. Also, some changes should happen under the hood.

2021 Nissan Murano Cabin Features

The 2021 Nissan Murano will remain roomy and modern as before. This SUV is a two-row model that is made for 5-passenger form only. Cargo space is generous with 67 cubic feet, but not quite good as the capacity of the new Honda Passport, which provides 77.9 cubic feet.

Like before, 2021 Murano is available in four trims: S, SV, SL, and the top-line Platinum. Murano S, that is basic, includes an 8-inch touch display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, dual-zone climate control, push-button start, automatic emergency braking system, AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth audio system with USB. Choosing the SV trim, customers will get the leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, blind-spot monitoring, roof rails, universal garage remote, and so on.

However, one of the recommended trims is Murano SL. This trim will add leather upholstery, heated front, and rear seats, heated steering wheel, parking sensors plus Nissan’s nifty Around View bird’s-eye.

Platinum Trim

The platinum trim is the most equipped and the most expensive. This trim offers leather seats with diamond-quilted inserts, panoramic moonroof, power-adjust steering wheel, and front seats with both heat and cooling, and NissanConnect, pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assistance, and intelligent cruise control.

2021 Nissan Murano Powertrain, Towing Capacity

The new 2021 Nissan Murano will use the same powertrain. As you may know, this SUV is unfortunately only available with a single option. Under the hood of the current model is a 3.5-liter V6 that makes 260 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque. However, this is the only department where Murano lacks from its opponents.

Most of its opponents offer two or three engine options. Murano uses a continuously variable automatic transmission and comes with standard front-wheel drive (FWD), and can be optioned with all-wheel drive (AWD). Thanks to this engine the Murano`s tow rating is 1,500 pounds, which is very low for this segment.
