The upcoming 2021 Lexus RX models will bring numerous standard features. Both versions Lexus RX 350 and RX 450h are the most popular midsize-luxury SUVs in the Lexus line. Moreover, the new SUVs will be redesigned, and primary Lexus’s mission is to make them more competitive. So, we can expect tons of new features and even more quality and techs inside.
Like the previous models, the new ones will be equipped with the same engine options. However, expect better outputs and even fuel efficiency. The hybrid model is still the best option, and it provides excellent value for invested money.
2021 Lexus RX Comes With Minor Refreshments Outside
The design of 2021 Lexus RX is chiseled and distinctive. Its styling is unique on the market. Despite missing more refreshments, this model continues to offer the same bold spindle-shaped grille and great shaped LED headlights. The manufacturer blacked-out C-pillars to give more wow effect and to give the roof a floating appearance.
Dimensionally, the RX L models are only 4.3 inches longer than the standard 2-row RX, so it’s tough to identify them on the road. F Sport model gets a dose of aggression thanks to the stylish 20-inch wheels. The adaptive variable suspension is also part of this trim. This system is used to monitors road conditions and automatically adjusts the shock dampening for maximum performance.
Interior Updates and Lexus Safety System + 2.0
The next-generation 2021 Lexus RX will be refreshed inside. Generally, we can expect more upscale materials and even more standard features. Like before, this compact SUV offers numerous optional features. As you may have already known, both RX 360 and RX 450h standard models are two-seater SUVs with enough rooms for five occupants.
Choosing an extended L version, customers will get a small but still viable 3rd-row seat that increases passenger capacity to seven. The seats are plush, and all versions offer excellent head- and legroom on the back. On top of that, cargo space is impressive, with over 18 cubic feet behind the rear seats. This amount can be increased folding rear seat to over 56 cubic feet. The overall design is unique, but not that expressive as that of an Audi or BMW SUVs. The Lexus RX comes with a large 12.3-inch split-screen multimedia screen, power tailgate, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, 10 airbags, a faux-leather interior, dual-zone climate control, a rearview camera and so on.
Safety is excellent thanks to the Lexus Safety System + 2.0 that includes automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, high auto beams, and lane-departure alert.
2021 Lexus RX Deploys Various Engines
The new 2021 Lexus RX will employ a few engine variants. The current base model 2021 Lexus RX 350 comes with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that cranks out 295 horsepower. This powertrain is also available on the F-Sport trim. Moreover, the same engine powers larger 2021 Lexus RX 350 L version and it loses some outputs because of its weights.
This model provides 290 horsepower. The hybrid RX 450h is still a real deal. This model uses a 3.5-liter V6 and it`s paired with a 123-kW electric motor and standard all-wheel-drive. The total system horsepower is 308 hp. Furthermore, the larger version RX 450h L also offers the same numbers.
Production and Cost
The forthcoming 2021 Lexus RX line of SUVs will be refreshed and the manufacturer will add more standard equipment. Besides small updates, the price of the new models will remain the same as before. The FWD model starts at 45,000, while F Sport begins just under $49,000.
Moreover, the larger version that comes with three rows of seats RX 350L begins just below $48,500. Hybrid Lexus RX 450h is worth invested money because it provides a great package of features and it starts at $48,000. However, picking up a larger version of the hybrid, the price will jump to $51,500. Lexus RX still undercuts models such as Mercedes-Benz GLE and BMW X5.
