The upcoming 2021 Jeep Renegade is a subcompact crossover that will be redesigned in the following year. The highlight of this SUV is a new plug-in hybrid drivetrain. This model, as the base one, will be available in Europe and the United States. Alongside hybrid powertrain, the new 2021 Renegade will also offer two more engines and a front-wheel-drive system as standard.

2021 Jeep Renegade Is Recognized By Rounded Headlights
Thanks to its small dimension and unique styling, the new 2021 Jeep Renegade wears one of the recognized designs in its segment. Visually, the most outstanding arrangement that will separate this model from the rest of the Jeep models is round headlights, seven-slotted vertical grille, and rugged attitude.
The 2021 Jeep Renegade also comes with shorter overhangs that are ideal for rock climbing and the attractive 16-inch wheels. However, stepping up to Latitude trim buyers will get a 7-inch Uconnect touch-screen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Engine Specs
The upcoming 2021 Jeep Renegade will come with the same engines as the current model. There will be two engine options. A 1.4-liter four-cylinder turbo powers the base model, and it produces 160 hp and 185 lb-ft of torque.
Optionally, a 2.4-liter four-cylinder is available, and this type of engine delivers a 180 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque. Both models equipped with and 4WD instead of the standard 2-wheel-(front) drive (2WD). Also, as before, both ones will use the same 9-speed automatic that is standard. Towing is not recommended for a model with a 1.3-liter engine. However, with the 2.4-liter engine and 4WD system, the new Jeep Renegade can tow up to 2,000 pounds.
Jeep Renegade PHEV
The plug-in hybrid system will be also available under the new 2021 Jeep Renegade. Also, called Renegade PHEV, this version will deliver more power than the regular SUV. It`s powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that is connected to an electric generator. Thanks to this combination, the PHEV model will be able to deliver a total of 230 horsepower, and it provides astonishing mileage figures.
2021 Jeep Renegade Price and Release Date
The newest 2021 Jeep Renegade will keep its current price besides small modifications and upgrades that will get. The cost of the current model is very affordable and it starts at only $21,000. However, choosing a PHEV model price will raise around $5000 more or a total of $26,000.
Renegade base model as the hybrid version will be available in Europe and the United States as well. Honda`s upcoming subcompact crossover will hit the dealerships at the beginning of 2020. Models such as Mazda CX-3, Honda HR-V, and Toyota C-HR are on par with the 2021 Jeep Renegade.
