The 2021 model will get further upgrades. New full-size SUV will have to deal with low sales in the last couple of years. Moreover, Blue and Agate Black paints are in the offer. Ruby Red, Magnetic, Ingot Silver and Burgundy Velvet are all optional. On top of that, Flex offers two interior color schemes. The buyers can choose between Charcoal Black and Dune colors.

The approaching 2021 Ford Flex will keep its current engine lineup. Everything starts with a standard 3.5-liter V6 engine. This unit is standard and it provides 287 hp and 254 lb-ft of torque. An optional 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 is more potent. Optional powertrain generates 365 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. No matter which option you buy, a 6-speed automatic gearbox is available.

Furthermore, Flex SUV is a front-wheel-drive vehicle. Still, Blue Oval offers an optional all-wheel-drive setup. In terms of fuel efficiency, Flex offers solid figures. Standard engine is rated at 16 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. Optional engine is more or less the same and it delivers 22 mpg on the highway.

Trim Levels

The forthcoming 2021 Ford Flex offers only three trim levels. The SE model is the entry-level option. It comes with pretty regular features such as HID headlights and cloth upholstery. On top of that, it adds LED taillights and 17-inch wheels. If you want more equipment, jump on to SEL trim level. With Flex SEL, you’ll get larger touchscreen, 18-inch aluminum wheels and better comfort.

Still, if you want luxury, only Limited trim is offering it. The range-topping model comes with leather upholstery, power-adjustable and heated seats. On top of that, premium sound system, sunroof and gloss-black 20-inch rims are in the offer.

As for the prices, Flex will get a slight jump. New 2021 Ford Flex will now cost $31,000. The SEL trim level is priced at $34,000. Finally, Flex Limited costs at $41,000. Ford’s newest full-size SUV continues with the production and it will arrive later in 2020.
