The forthcoming 2020 Audi Q4 is the new member of the company’s lineup of crossovers. At first, this model was referred as the Q3 Sportback model. However, Q4 will be a model on its own in the future. New Q4 will arrive in the last quarter of 2019 and it is currently built in Hungary. It will feature a coupe-like appearance and it will look very sporty.
Sloped roofline, modern design, and upscale styling are just some of the highlights. The cabin offers a great level of comfort and good visibility. Performance-wise, this crossover should arrive with a 2.5-liter five-cylinder unit. On the other hand, the same engine could power the Q4 RS variant.
Some Cues are Taken From the Q3 Model
First spy shots are looking good. The 2020 Audi Q4 will look extremely attractive. The highlight of this model will be a sloped roofline and coupe-like design. The rear end looks sleeker than the front one. However, the front fascia provides an astonishing look with all-new headlights and sporty hood. Some cues are taken from the Q3 model but generally, this crossover looks very fresh and unique. We can expect a 102.5-inch long wheelbase. However, wheelbase could be longer on the production model.
LED lighting system comes as standard, just like the 18-inch wheels. The design looks angular and we can expect plenty of exterior packages. Thanks to the packages, you will get glossy black trims, sporty spoilers and bumpers. Thanks to the heavy use of aluminum materials, the 2020 Q4 will be lighter than the Q3 model. On top of that, Audi will offer an aluminum power tailgate as standard.
2020 Audi Q4 Interior Design
Brand-new 2020 Audi Q4 will look very modern from the inside. The interior is based on the interior of the Q3 model. Most of the shapes and features are exactly the same. However, some parts are looking unique. For the start, the cabin hosts plenty of geometric lines and layout is horizontal. Optionally, Q4 comes with a panoramic sunroof. On top of that, leather upholstery is optional too.
This crossover also sports a lot of aluminum and wooden trims. A 9.2-inch touchscreen comes as standard. As for the driver-assistance features, this crossover offers standard blind spot monitoring and lane-keep assist. Interior room is ample and cargo area provides around 50 cubic feet of space.
Audi’s newest crossover will offer at least two engine options. For U.S. buyers, we can expect a 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit. It comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission and it delivers over 200 hp. Overseas, the 2020 Audi Q4 will offer a 1.5-liter diesel unit. According to numerous reports, the 1.5-liter gasoline engine will be in the offer as well.
Audi also plans to expand its lineup of the RS models. For that reason, Audi Q4 RS more than certain. Some speculations are already suggesting over 400 horsepower through the 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine with turbocharger. RS version will also arrive with the multiple driving modes and modified MQB platform.
2020 Audi Q4 Price and Release Date
The upcoming 2020 Audi Q4 will arrive on the markets at some point in 2019. The arriving crossover will most likely arrive this fall. Price is still unknown. However, the current Q3 model is priced at $34,000 and Q5 at $43,000. Q4 will slot between these two models and it will cost around $37,000.
