2019 GMC Yukon exterior design and colors
The idea is to create a design that is upscale like most of its competitors. The 2019 GMC Yukon is a full-size SUV that looks pleasing and aggressive at the same time. Soft lines and curves are making a modern feeling and some new stuff as well.
That will include a chrome front grille, HID headlights and LED daytime running lights. 18-inch wheels are standard, but the options can take you to the 22-inches.
The color palette will get two all-new colors, a White Frost Tricoat and Crimson Red Tintcoat. Both colors will be optional on all three trim levels. A capless fuel filler is new and is standard. This system will help you not to lose fuel cap as there is no one to be exact. A fuel door is so good, that there is no way for dust to enter the fuel tank.
Safety features
Driver Alert Package is a safety package that adds lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, and forward collision alert. Of course, this SUV provides plenty of safety technologies.

2019 GMC Yukon interior is modern and comfy
The cabin is pleasing and the overall interior feels upscale and comfy. From the moment you open the door you just now that you didn’t overspend your money. Shapes inside the cabin are looking artful and the materials are first-class.
The seats on the 2019 GMC Yukon are comfortable and the second-row legroom is great. Adults can easily fit into the second row with no problem at all. The third row is, however, recommendable only for kids.
Denali trim
Denali trim of the 2019 GMC Yukon will get a new instrument cluster with another 8-inch touchscreen that offers multiple themes and it adds an optional heads-up display. Rear passengers can now enjoy in a dual screen Blu-Ray/DVD system and wireless headphones.
2019 GMC Yukon XL model
The XL Yukon model offers a third row that can accommodate even the taller persons. Moreover, third-row seats are folding flat to create an elevating floor that improves the cargo space.
The interior changes are minor, the 8-inch infotainment screen is still present and it runs on a latest GMC’s IntelliLink software. 4G LTE Wi-Fi is standard now and the navigation is optional.
2019 GMC Yukon engine output and transmission
Just like the previous versions, the 2019 GMC Yukon will also have two engines in its lineup. A standard unit is a smaller 5.3-liter V8 that can produce up to 355 HP and 383 lb-ft of torque. Denali trim rides on a powerful 6.2-liter V8 engine. This unit can be found under the Corvette Stingray model and it generates 420 horses and 460 lb-ft of twists. Both powertrains are featuring an EcoTec3 technology. This technology includes Variable Valve Timing and Active Fuel Management.
Moreover, the fuel economy is better thanks to the direct fuel injection. The base engine is using a GM’s 6L80 6-speed automatic transmission. The optional V8 is mated to a GM’s latest 8-speed automatic gearbox. A 10-speed automatic is not available at the moment, but we can expect it as an option in the near future. Four-wheel drive is a must with the 2019 Yukon.
However, two different configurations are in the offer. The first setup behaves more like an all-wheel-drive system while the second is controlled electronically.
Fuel consumption
Fuel economy for the base 2019 GMC Yukon V8 engine is set at 16 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. Optional V8 comes with fuel economy that is rated at 14 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway, which are slightly lower figures.
Diesel drivetrain is not available yet, but we expect GMC to deliver which diesel unit will be offered in the U.S. markets. Additional torque figures will be a great option for those who are looking to tow and haul stuff.
2019 GMC Yukon price and release date
The base model of the 2019 GMC Yukon starts at around $50,000. SLT trim level will cost slightly over $57,500. The Denali model is priced at about $70,000. Four-wheel drive setup costs an additional $3,000.
While slightly higher than the rivals from Toyota and Nissan, Yukon is more affordable than the Ford Expedition. We can expect this full-size SUV to hit the dealerships at the beginning of 2019.
