A fully electric 2024 Jeep Wrangler EV is happening. According to the latest news, Jeep will make its brand’s iconic Wrangler all-electric. For those who may not know, Jeep already sells a plug-in hybrid version of the Wrangler, which is called the 4xe.
As far as we can tell, the new SUV will feature four chassis-mounted battery packs positioned in the floor. It will also use a dual electric system that should be very powerful. The concept Magneto also uses a unique EV powertrain that combines a 285-hp electric motor with a six-speed manual transmission. Thanks to that, we can expect at least 200 miles of range.
2024 Jeep Wrangler EV Design
Last year, Jeep unveiled the Magneto concept, which looks very attractive. Judging from the images, the exterior of the Magneto is very similar to the current-generation Wrangler. The concept features a two-door body style, and we can expect a four-door version soon as well.
The design is well known, and the Magneto wearing a well-known seven-slot grille and rounded traditional headlights. For an open-air driving experience just like the regular Wrangler, the EV model will undoubtedly have a removable roof and doors. Overall, if you’re looking for something unique, we think that this SUV is worth waiting for.
Interior Features
As for the interior, we don’t know yet if the 2024 Jeep Wrangler EV will be offered in both two-door and four-door body styles. It probably will be, and we anticipate it will come with the same basic interior space and dashboard layout as the current Wrangler. It will certainly have removable doors and a roof for an open-air driving experience.
We can safely assume that Jeep will add more quality materials and probably plenty of new technology. The manufacturer revealed that the biometric recognition system will come as standard, which uses facial recognition or fingerprints to confirm the identity of the driver.
2024 Jeep Wrangler EV Motor Specs
As we said, the new 2024 Jeep Wrangler EV will probably use a similar or exactly the same system as the concept called Magneto.
This model uses a unique EV powertrain that produces 285 hp with one electric motor. It’s also noteworthy that the engine comes with a six-speed manual transmission. However, we expect the Wrangler EV to use one or more electric motors. According to some rumors, the upcoming SUV will be able to travel at least 200 miles on one charge.
How Much Will the Electric Jeep Wrangler Cost?
Unfortunately, Jeep hasn’t said anything about pricing for the new 2024 Wrangler EV. However, from the information that we got, the new SUV won’t be cheap at all. There should be five different trims and plenty of customization.
The base Sport model could start at $50,000, while the Freedom is $55,000, the Sahara is $60,000, the Rubicon is $65,000, and the most expensive Magneto is around $70,000. As can be seen, this is a significant price increase over the standard Wrangler, which costs just over $30,000. We expect all the models to debut sometime next year, probably in the fall.
