The eco-friendly crossover, the 2024 Hyundai Kona EV, has been spotted undergoing testing in Europe, featuring a huge improvement over its predecessor. The redesigned model is camouflaged, but not enough to hide its bold new design. As far as we can see, the new SUV will clearly have a more distinctive front end, as well as many amenities inside.
Some of the leaked documents reveal the new Kona will be equipped with a few engine options. The first one is a hybridized 1.6-liter engine taken from the KIA Niro. This engine produces 139 hp (104 kW / 141 PS) and 195 lb-ft (264 Nm) of torque. We can also expect a new Kona EV that will likely have a 64.8 kWh battery pack that provides a range of around 253 miles (407 km).

Given that the new 2024 Hyundai Kona EV was spotted heavily camouflaged, most of the details remain hidden. Anyway, we managed to see that it will come with a more distinctive front end with stacked headlights. The same design can be found on the Kia Sportage.
Moving further back, the new Hyundai Kona also has fender flares with an edgier design and very attractive wheels. Overall, the design of the Kona EV is much more attractive compared to the regular version.
What’s New Inside?
Unfortunately, there is no clear way to see what is changed inside the 2024 Hyundai Kona EV. However, from the information that we got, the new SUV will come with a substantially improved cabin that will remain on the Ioniq 5. We also expect enough legroom and headroom for all five passengers.
While many details remain scarce about the technology inside, we presume that Hyundai will introduce a new freestanding digital instrument cluster. Also, a widescreen infotainment system is a must, followed by comfortable seats and metallic accents.

This model can likely deploy a 64.8 kWh battery pack that should provide a range of around 253 miles (407 km). Also, the system will combine to produce a 201 hp (150 kW/204 PS) electric motor.
How Much Cost the Brand New 2024 Hyundai Kona?
The 2024 Hyundai Kona EV has been recently spotted undergoing testing in Europe. Despite the heavy camouflage, we saw some improvements over the previous generation. So, because of that, we can safely assume the SUV will significantly cost more.
The current model starts at around $22,000, while the new one is expected to cost $3,000 more. As for the all-electric version, it will probably be in the range of $35,000-$40,000, just like the Kona N model. EVs will hit the market in the second quarter of 2023.
