The new spy shots of the 2024 Cadillac XT4 are available and they reveal some changes over the previous generation. Unfortunately, only some body parts are partially visible because the spied prototype is mostly camouflaged. First of all, the new SUV looks refreshed, and the manufacturer updated its exterior design, interior layout, and tech features.
As far as we know, the new XT4 will continue to be powered by a proven 2.0-liter gasoline engine for worldwide markets, while a 2.0-liter diesel should be available only in Europe. 2024 Cadillac XT4 Redesign
Judging by the first spy shots, the 2024 Cadillac XT4 is about to receive a mid-cycle refresh. Despite the thick vinyl covers, we managed to see some changes.
First of all, the prototype looks familiar, featuring a recognized grille and horizontal headlights paired with vertical lights. The rear is also revised with a new taillight, which follows the same design language we saw on the new Cadillac Lyriq.
More Stylish Cabin
The new 2024 Cadillac XT4 now offers more quality materials, even if you choose the basic model. Anyway, a real leather seating surface is only available starting with the mid-level Premium Luxury trim. Soft-touch plastics are on the dashboard and other parts like doors. Rear legroom remains at 39.5 inches, while headroom is at 38.3 inches.
The luggage area behind measures 22.5 cubic feet, and it can be expanded to a total of 48.9 cubic feet when they are folded. As for technology, the XT4 includes standard wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, Wi-Fi, satellite radio, natural voice recognition, and a large touchscreen. It is worth mentioning that this model will also include the GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assist system, as well as the latest electronic architecture.
2024 Cadillac XT4 Engine Specs
Under the hood, the forthcoming 2024 Cadillac XT4 will be powered by the same engine as its predecessor. This means we can expect the same turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that’s linked to a 9-speed automatic transmission. This engine develops 237 horsepower, which is more compared to rivals such as the Audi Q3, BMW X1, and the base Mercedes-Benz GLB.
The transmission is the same smooth nine-speed, just like the front-wheel drive (FWD) in the basic configuration. Anyway, all-wheel drive (AWD) is optional. Cadillac reveals that the maximum towing capacity of the new model is still 3,500 pounds.
2024 Cadillac XT4 Price, Release Date
The new 2024 Cadillac XT4 with front-wheel drive and basic equipment starts at $35,795, plus a destination charge. Anyway, if you’re seeking an all-wheel drive, you must pay an extra $2,500 across the board.
The top XT4 Sport trim is around $43,000, while with more options this trim can reach $52K. The Audi Q3 is the main competitor and it starts at $36k. In the same line is also a BMW X1, while Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class cost $2000 more. As for the release date, we can expect the new model to hit stores sometime next year.
