Every Tesla Model Y comes with dual electric motors and all-wheel drive. The standard model called Long Range offers an impressive range of 330 miles and is able to run from 0-60 mph in a time of 4.8 seconds. This model produces 447 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque.
However, if you go for the Performance model, the range will drop to 303 miles. However, the acceleration will be improved to 3.5 seconds 0-60 time. It is worth mentioning that this version can deliver 580 horses and 481 lb-ft of torque. Both models use the same AC induction electric motors of 75-kWh battery pack.
2023 Tesla Model Y Release Date, Price
As you may notice, there aren’t any significant changes for the 2023 Tesla Model Y. So, considering that, we expect this model to start at around $65,000 for the Long-Range version. A more powerful Performance version will cost $3000 more or $66,000. In general, the fully loaded Performance model can exceed mark of $80,000.
We’re expecting the refreshed SUV to debut sometime this year, probably toward the end of the year. Rivals that are in the same class with the Tesla Model Y include the Jaguar i-Pace, the Audi e-tron, the Chevrolet Bolt EUV, and the Rivian R1S.
