The more luxurious 2023 Cadillac XT4 will hit showrooms later this year. This small crossover is a great option if you’re looking for a compact and yet roomy premium model. It features attractive design language and a very practical cabin, with plenty of technologies. In general, the XT4 is one of the roomier options among other SUVs, but it still falls just short from rivals such as the Audi Q3 and the Mercedes-Benz GLA- and GLB-class SUVs.
Like before, the Cadillac XT4 will continue to use a proven 235-hp turbocharged four-cylinder, and the same nine-speed automatic transmission and front wheel drive as standard. Of course, you can still get an optional all-wheel drive or standard on upper trims.

The 2023 Cadillac XT4 is a small luxury crossover that slots between the usual subcompact and compact categories. Its recognized mostly on its front end that includes an attractive grille and stylish LED headlights. Dimensionally, this model is very compact with length of 181.1 in, height of 64.1 in, and wheelbase that measures 109.4 inches. Like the other Cadillac models, the XT4 can be got with a few different packages and trims.
Buyers can get Sport trim that looks better than the regular one thanks to black finish grille, roof rails, and side window surrounds. There is also an Onyx Package with Black surround grille with black mesh and 20″ split 7-spoke alloy wheels with glossing black finish. Inside, the 2023 Cadillac XT4 is very roomy and modern. Like the outgoing model, the new one comes with rear legroom of 39.5 inches, and headroom of 38.3 inches. You can still split the rear seats and fold then to expand the cargo volume to a total of 48.9 cubic feet. On technology side, the XT4 feature-rich 8-inch infotainment system that includes wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, Wi-Fi, satellite radio, natural voice recognition, one USB-A port, and one USB-C port.
The XT4, like all Cadillac models, comes standard with the Smart System safety suite. The package of safety includes forward collision alert with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, rear park assists, Teen Driver, and Safety Alert Seat.
2023 Cadillac XT4 Engine Specs
Under the hood, the forthcoming 2023 Cadillac XT4 is unchanged. It deploys the same turbocharged four-cylinder engine as its predecessor. The engine makes 235 horsepower, and it sends power to either front wheels drive or all-wheel drive system. It also pairs the same nine-speed automatic transmission, just like the current one model.
Overall, despite its fuel-saving cylinder-deactivation capability, the current XT4 earns average EPA fuel-economy estimates. This model with front-wheel-drive has 30 mpg on the highway, while with all-wheel-drive it’s EPA-rated at 27 mpg.
How Much Will Cost the 2023 Cadillac XT4?
As the outgoing model, the new 2023 Cadillac XT4 is available in three different trims. The entry-level model FWD Luxury starts at $36,950, while the upper trim FWD Sports costs more than $40,000. The last and the most expensive is FWD Premium Luxury, which is priced at $42,000.
Buyers can expect all models to be available for purchase sometime this year. In the same segment there are models like the Audi Q3 that starts at $35k, BMW X1 at about $36k, and the front-drive Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class is closer to $38k.
