2022 Toyota Highlander Powertrain Specs
Like the outgoing model, the new 2022 Toyota Highlander will deploy the same two powertrains. The first one that powers trim L, LE, XLE, Limited consists of a 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers 295 horsepower. This unit comes with a smooth 8-speed automatic transmission.
Hybrid System
The Highlander Hybrid is using a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder that develop 186 horsepower and a 175 lb-ft. It also comes with an electric motor that gives additional horsepower, making a total combined 243 horsepower output. The battery remains to be nickel-metal hydride.
Like the regular model, the Highlander Hybrid also can be had with front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive. In terms of towing, the forthcoming model that comes with a V6 engine can tow up to 5,000 pounds, while the Highlander Hybrid can maximum tow 3,500 pounds.
2022 Toyota Highlander Release Date and Cost
