Korean automaker Kia, recently reveals that it’s working on the facelifted version of the famous three-row SUV Telluride. Alongside this model, the manufacturer should also introduce the refreshed Sportage version. However, unlike the previous model, the facelifted 2022 Kia Telluride should arrive with numerous changes and upgrades.
First of all, the new model will provide unrivaled levels of luxury and more standard equipment inside. However, some things are unchanged, and Telluride will probably use the same engine as its predecessor. That means it will use a naturally aspirated V-6 that delivers 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque.

Since the current Telluride is still fresh, we should expect the new 2022 Kia Telluride to be a carryover. This model is very recognized thanks to the careful combination of ruggedness and its boxy styling. It also has a long, broad hood and the widest tiger-nose grille made by Kia.
Overall, the design is excellent, and we like its bold stacked headlights that wrap around the fenders providing a really distinctive look. As for the sizing, the Kia Telluride bridging the size gap between the Honda Pilot and Chevy Tahoe. The new Nightfall Edition that comes optional on EX and SX trims makes Telluride look darker. Cabin With Plenty of Room
Inside, the new 2022 Kia Telluride will feature more upscale materials, offering ample seating for eight. As you probably know, the Telluride is a very spacious model that comes with the third row of seats. Generally, there is plenty of room behind, and Telluride can stuff a total of 35 carry-ons with both back rows folded flat.
In terms of design, the build quality inside is excellent. Telluride’s base interior boasts an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability. Moving into higher trims, buyers can get supple Nappa leather, a much bigger 10.3-inch touchscreen, and Harman/Kardon audio system on the top-tier SX model.

Under the hood, the upcoming 2022 Kia Telluride will be most likely powered by the same naturally aspirated V-6 powertrain. However, we are unsure if this engine will be boosted, but one is for sure, expect a much better economy. The current model with this engine can develop 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque.
This engine is available with an eight-speed automatic transmission that feeds the front wheels. However, all-wheel drive is also available, but only as optional. The acceleration is decent, and Telluride can run to 60 mph in 7.1 seconds. On top of that, it comes with 8.0 inches of ground clearance for better off-road excursions. In the towing department, we can expect this model to tow up to 5000 pounds.
Price and Release Date
The price of 2022 Kia Telluride has not yet been revealed. However, from many gossips, it seems that the next-gen model will cost slightly higher.
The current model starts at $33,000, providing plenty of usual features. Considering that this model will arrive simultaneously with the Sportage SUV, sales will probably begin in the second half of 2021.
