2022 BMW X6 Is Just Another Carryover Model

The redesigned version of the 2022 BMW X6 should arrive later this year. This midsize SUV entered the scene with coupe-like styling, providing a stylish, modern appearance. Generally, the new BMW X6 is just another carryover, that will share many design cues with the current model.

Like the previous BMW X6, the new one should be available with a few different powertrains. A turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six is standard, while a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine is optional. Basically, there are three V8 versions. The X6 comes with a rear-wheel-drive as standard, while all-wheel drive is optional.

2022 BMW X6 Is Featuring Design That Mimics Sporty Styling

The last redesigned version arrived in 2020, and the new 2022 BMW X6 is only a carry-over model. Basically, it features the same design language, but it looks more modern. The midsize SUV is entering its third model year on sale, featuring a daring, coupe-like design.

As before, the front and rear end of BMW dominates with attractive LED headlights, giving the SUV a design that mimics sporty styling. On top of that, the recognized kidney grille looks enormous, and the automaker did the same with the X7 model. On the back, the X6 has a blunt rear end with slim taillights, a chunky rear bumper, and large exhaust outlets.

Cabin Upgrades

On the inside, the forthcoming 2022 BMW X6 retains the same attractive look as the current SUV. Generally, this SUV is one of the best equipped in the class. Thanks to its angular lines on the dashboard, 12.3-inch touchscreen, and sharply styled air vents, this SUV dominates. Like on the outgoing model, the center console is slanted toward the driver, resulting in a unique look. On top of that, the automaker adds a more sporty, three-prong steering wheel paired with large shift paddles.

The latest X6 also comes standard with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 10-speaker audio system, Bluetooth, and five USB ports. Optionally, buyers can get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, Wi-Fi hot spot, a 20-speaker audio system, and a wireless smartphone charger.

Safety

Safety on the new 2022 BMW X6 includes many novelties. This SUV features standard parking sensors, forward collision warning, blind-spot warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and traffic sign recognition.

2022 BMW X6 Powertrain Specs

Under the hood, the new 2022 BMW X6 will retain the same engines as its predecessor. The current SUV is available with three different powertrains. A turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six is standard, generating making 335 horsepower.

However, as optional, the manufacturer offers three twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engines with various outputs. Basically, there are models with 523 hp, 600 hp, and 617 hp. Like its predecessor, the new X6 comes standard with rear-wheel drive, while all-wheel drive can be chosen optionally. Every X6 comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission, which provides smooth shifting.

Launch Date and Cost

After a redesign in 2022, the manufacturer decides to make some changes to the upcoming 2022 BMW X6. Generally, this SUV is still a carryover model, featuring the same modern design language. However, BMW this time added more standard features, making it more competitive on the market.

From the latest news, the forthcoming model will arrive later this year. As a carryover model, we should expect it to be in the same pricing range as the current model, which ranges from $66,045 to $109,595, including destination charge.
