New 2021 Nissan Rogue has been finally spotted on the roads. The next-gen Rogue will introduce plenty of changes. We had an opportunity to see a prototype during testing in the United States. Heavy camouflage clearly suggests a significant redesign. However, Nissan wants to hide Rogue’s design for a little more.
The shape will remain, but some parts are looking boxier than before. Maybe this is just an illusion. Moreover, it looks like the new Rogue will be slightly larger than its predecessor. Interior will get plenty of tech updates and Nissan will offer more quality materials. Under the hood, some things aren’t available yet. It is yet unknown if Rogue will continue with the same 2.5-liter engine or we should expect new powertrain.

The forthcoming 2021 Nissan Rogue will be the next-gen model. Knowing that we expect a total redesign. The shape looks boxier but not significantly. Moreover, it appears the all-new crossover will be larger than the current model. Heavy camouflage perfectly hides further modifications and newest available features. We hope for Nissan to deliver an XMotion Concept design.
That includes larger lateral window and split headlights. The rear end will get horizontal taillights that are narrower now. The floating roof design is visible even under the camo. It seems the Rogue crossover will look sportier than before.
Available Colors
For 2021, Nissan will introduce nine exterior colors for its next-gen Rogue crossover. Monarch Orange Metallic, Midnight Pine Metallic, Brilliant Silver Metallic, Gun Metallic, and Caspian Blue Metallic are all available. Besides metallic exterior paints, the 2021 Nissan Rogue will be available with numerous other choices. That includes Magnetic Black Pearl, Scarlet Ember Tintcoat, Pearl White TriCoat, and Glacier White.
Engine Speculations
To this day, it is not clear which engine will power a new 2021 Nissan Rogue. Next-generation models usually introduce a new drivetrain option. However, it seems that Nissan will keep the existing 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. This unit is mated to a CVT transmission and it produces 188 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque.
If a new engine arrives, it will be a 2.0-liter that generates 248 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. This engine is available on the Nissan Altima sedan. Keeping a 2.5-liter option is good variant because of its great fuel efficiency.
Nissan Rogue Sport
The automaker will also prepare a new 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport model. This model will get numerous updates as well. We expect new grille, revised headlights, and new exterior colors. A sporty variant could also get new alloy wheels. From the inside, Rogue Sport will continue to offer tight space in the back. On the other hand, Nissan will improve safety with more standard features.
On top of that, the new touchscreen unit will be optional and automaker could also increase the number of buttons on the Cockpit. Mechanically, nothing will change. The same 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 141 hp and 147 lb-ft of torque is available once again.
2021 Nissan Rogue Price and Release Date
Logically, the next-gen model with numerous updates will cost more. However, new 2021 Nissan Rogue won’t cost drastically more. We predict for the base model to start at $25,000. On the other hand, Rogue Sport will cost slightly more but still below $30,000.
