After revealing Ariya SUV recently, Japanese carmaker Nissan confirmed that it is working on the all-new SUV that will share the same underpinnings with the Renault Triber model. The all-electric version 2021 Nissan Magnite has been unveiled and it will be exclusively made for India market.
Nissan recently released a few pictures and videos of its upcoming Magnite vehicle. According to Nissan, the new model will receive a production version in January next year. At first glance, the Magnite SUV is looking attractive and futuristic. Definitively, thanks to its unique design, this SUV should be very competitive for sure.
2021 Nissan Magnite Design, Platform
As we mentioned, the manufacturer released a few images of 2021 Nissan Magnite crossover. The fresh pictures shows that the upcoming Magnite will keep the same design as the concept model. Eider way, this SUV looks unique and it features recognized Nissan’s front fascia. Like many nowadays SUVs from Nissan, the Magnite underpinnings cmf-a+ platform. The design is robust and we can see sizeable Datsun-style grille and sharply cut headlamps that look larger than on the concept model.
Also, the L-shaped LED Daytime running lamp that has been present on the concept model has been replaced with chrome inserts. Thanks to that, this model looks more premium and sporty. Although the rear of this SUV is also attractive and the manufacturer used the same shape of taillight as we saw on the Kadjar model. Side profiles have been toned down and are wearing beautiful and stylish wheels.
Cabin Features
Unfortunately, the interior of 2021 Nissan Magnite is still a mystery. From what we heard, the new model will be stylish and modern.
The manufacturer will make its cabin very competitive thanks to plenty of upscale materials. Nissan reveals recently that the Magnite will be very techy SUV. Like many nowadays models, the upcoming Magnite will feature a new 8-inch touchscreen not shared with Renault, cruise control, 360-degree camera, and plenty of connectivity options. We can also expect plenty of driver aids to be part of standard equipment.
2021 Nissan Magnite Powertrain Details
The all-new 2021 Nissan Magnite will share its underpinnings with the Renault HBC SUV and Renault Triber MPV. According to the latest news, the upcoming Magnate will be powered by two engine variants.
The first variant uses a 53kW 1.0-liter three-cylinder naturally-aspirated engine that is available with a five-speed manual transmission. However, the next one is optional and it consists of a 70kW turbo 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine. Unlike the first engine, this one can be chosen eider with a five-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission.
Release Date and Price
From the first photos, the new 2021 Nissan Magnite looks attractive and stylish. The upcoming Nissan SUV is designed in Japan and it will be manufactured at the Oragadam plant near Chennai. We must mention that Magnite will be firstly available in Indian markets later this year.
However, later we can also expect it to debut to other countries as well. As for the pricing, the manufacturer didn’t reveal exact numbers, but everything bellow $25,000 is acceptable.
