This model is known as the SUV that provides a great aesthetic look and a more important, a spacious cabin. Finally, the next-gen version will bring many improvements. There will be some visual refreshments, interior upgrades, and some mechanical changes. Most importantly, the new CR-V will grow in size. However, still, this model remains to be a compact crossover that is reliable and it comes with an affordable price.
From the first spy photos, the caught prototype is wearing a new design language. So, we are guessing that the manufacturer uses a new platform. Also, this confirms a bigger size. Most of the body parts are visible except ones that are covered. Still, we can see some improvements that are happening. The grille looks bolder and chrome center bar looking a bit larger than before. On the back, the manufacturer added new trapezoid exhaust tips that now hanging down low. Also, the covered bumper could hide some changes to the quarter panels as well.
However, the question is, will changes be similarly subtle on the inside? Generally, we can expect some necessary updates. At this moment, cabin image is not available and we cannot for sure tell what is redesigned inside. However, we can expect updated tech and more quality materials.
As for the performance, the new 2021 Honda CR-V will be available with the same two engines as the current one. Still, we are hoping that the final model may bring some new powertrains. The current version is powered with a 2.4-liter gasoline four-cylinder and a 1.5-liter turbo. This SUV deserves to be on our list because it starts at $26,500.

2021 Mazda CX-5
The new 2021 Mazda CX-5 is confirmed and according to the latest report, this model is ready for a mid-cycle update. This SUV is undoubtedly one of the most reliable on the market. It provides excellent design and even better cabin appearance. Most of the features will be available on Mazda’s Signature trim level. This trim offers more luxury than the rest of the trims and it will cost significantly more. However, even the standard list of features is not so bad.
Design-wise, the newest 2021 Mazda CX-5 is wearing the famous company’s KODO design language. Generally, all of Mazda`s vehicle features the same design. As we already wrote, the new CX-5 will undergo minor visual improvements. The front is dominated thanks to grill that is wearing more chrome accents and the beautifully shaped LED highlights. On the back, some refreshments are happening and we can see that taillights are decreased. Dimensions will remain the same and this crossover is 179.1 inches long and 72.5 inches wide.
Inside, the new crossover looks premium. There will be more upscale materials and techs. Like before, the CX-5 will be available in trims Sport, Touring, Grand Touring, Grand Touring Reserve, and Signature. The standard version is available with a 7-inch touch screen, black cloth seats with a drivers-side height adjuster, leather steering wheel/shift knob, remote keyless entry with push-button engine start and an electronic parking brake.
Under the hood, the upcoming 2021 Mazda CX-5 will be available with a 2.5-liter inline-4 engine that produces 187 hp and 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-4 that makes 250 horsepower. Diesel powertrain is still available, and it consists of a 2.2-liter twin-turbocharged powertrain that delivers 168 power. 2021 VW Tiguan
The Germans 2021 VW Tiguan is another compact SUV that should introduce numerous changes. Besides its attractive look, this model offering vast engine options. Admittedly, most of the hype is about the new plug-in hybrid drivetrain.
The base variant is wearing a recognized design thanks to the great shaped LED lighting system that is available on the SEL and Premium trim levels. Also, these destructive look is followed by daytime running lights and revised LED taillights. The R-line is also available and it will bring even more sportiness.
Interior is clean, and 2021 VW Tiguan provides one of the roomiest cabins in the segment. Thanks to that, this model is an ideal choice for larger families. On top of that, comfort is fantastic. 2021 Subaru Forester
The Japanese carmaker Subaru is ready to bring some changes to its line of SUVs. According to the latest news, the first model that will be refreshed is 2021 Subaru Forester. This model will get some important updates. It will be bolder and some mechanical changes will happen. With that, we mean that there will be numerous improvements under the hood. Even, the hybrid version is confirmed. However, Forester’s high-performance STI variant remains to be a real deal.
At first glance, the base model looks attractive. The manufacturer refreshed front fascia with better materials and used an enlarger grille that hosts more chrome around. Also, some changes are evident on the headlights and front bumper. On the back, the new LED license-plate lights come as standard now. Forester will ride on a longer wheelbase that will result in better comfort inside.
However, the interior will largely remain the same as before. Some small refreshments will happen and the new model will get more quality materials and a longer list of standard features. The standard version comes with a 6.5-inch infotainment display, dual-zone climate control, navigation, Bluetooth and so on. 2021 Jeep Compass
One of the most affordable SUVs nowadays is definitively the new 2021 Jeep Compass. The upcoming crossover will bring revolutionary design and even a hybrid variant now seems more likely, because FCA reveals its electrification plan for 2023. We must mention that Compass SUV is one of the best-selling vehicles from this manufacturer. Moreover, the practical model will be redesigned and from the first images, we can see minor updates and tweaks. Basically, thanks to this some small changes, the new model is more eye-catching.
The cabin of 2021 Jeep Compass still has its own uniqueness. Once again, this model offers room for five passengers in two rows and enough comfort that many in its class don’t have. The cargo area behind is 27.3 cubic feet and can be expended to almost 60 cubics folding down the rear seats. As we already wrote, the hybrid model is more likely and we can expect excellent performance. However, the base model will still host the same 2.4-liter inline-4 that produces 180 horsepower. It sends power through a 6-speed automatic gearbox and a standard front-wheel-drive system.
