The exterior look of 2021 Mercedes-Benz will be improved. The manufacturer will add more aerodynamically designed and sharper hood character lines. Interior Refreshments
Inside the cabin, there will be more luxury. However, as before the same arrangements remains and the new 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLE features two rows of seats with an option to add all-electronically operated the third row of seats. Also, thanks to the extended wheelbase by 3.2-inches, legroom in the second row feels capacious compared to the previous generation. With all seats folded, the cargo space is 73-cubic feet.
Tech is the latest inside, and the newest GLE features an entirely new highly-customizable multimedia system. Moreover, the same 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster next to the equally large digital display is present, and one can operate it by touch, gesture control or voice control.
The panoramic sunroof also comes as standard equipment and is 50-percent more significant than before to give an unforgettable experience. Other options include leather seats, chrome, and optional woodgrain trim pieces and more quality materials.
Two Powertrain Choices
Under the hood of the iconic 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLE, there are two available engine options. The first engine powers the GLE 350 model. This powertrain consists of a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo that makes 255 horsepower and 273 lb-ft torque. It uses a popular Mercedes’ 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission that offers smooth shifts.
The second engine powers the GLE 450 model. This model comes with a 3.0-liter inline-six supercharged powertrain that is paired with a 48-volt electric motor. Thanks to this combination GLE 450 model churns out 362-hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. Also, as the base engine, this one will be equipped with the same 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. According to Mercedes-Benz’s latest testings, this model runs from 0-60 in an estimated 5.5 seconds.
2021 Mercedes-Benz GLE Release Date and Price
The release date of 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLE, according to the latest reports, will be in summer 2020. Pricing isn’t yet available, but we can expect it to be somewhere close to the predecessor. The outgoing model beats Audi Q7 and BMW X5 models in all segments and it starts at around $53,000.
