The first-ever brand`s all-electric 2021 Lexus UX 300e model was revealed last week. This model is built on the new Toyota’s TNGA GA-C platform, which is also found under the petrol hybrid UX and the recently updated Toyota C-HR crossover. However, exterior styling revisions are equally minimal, and the new model provides almost the same design as the regular model.
Basically, some small changes are evident and the all-electric version will get subtly reworked radiator grille, new highlight system and a more aerodynamic front bumper with lower air intakes.
2021 Lexus UX 300e Exterior
The design of forthcoming 2021 Lexus UX 300e will be almost the same as on the regular model. So, the outside changes will be minimal. However, sometimes the small changes have a big impact on the visual look, but in this case, this won’t happen. The front of this SUV host the same shape and lines. Small refreshments can be also seen on the streamlined front grille and bumper.
We can see the lower air intakes and the same shaped fog lights as on the base model. According to the manufacturer, this model will be the first one that will introduce advanced active sound generators that will emit an audible warning sound at lower speeds to warn pedestrians.
Interior Look
The new 2021 Lexus UX 300e reveals a very well-equipped cabin. This model will feature only premium materials and it will be more driver-oriented. Like the Lexus UX models, the all-electric variant will adopt the same layout. The UX 300e offers two rows of seats and capacity for five passengers.
There is plenty of legroom and headroom behind. On top of that, standard equipment is rich and now this model includes adaptive cruise control, digital instrument cluster and an infotainment screen that supports Apple CarPlay connectivity. Lexus has also fitted additional sound dampening to help suppress external intrusions, such as wind noise, gravel impacts, and tire roar.

Thanks to the modified Toyota’s TNGA GA-C platform, the newest 2021 Lexus UX 300e features a 54.3kWh lithium-ion battery that sits underneath the floor and it also hosts front-axle electric motor. The brand’s first pure-electric model, thanks to this combination, delivers 201 horses and it supports fast-charging. Moreover, with a 50kW charger, it takes 40 minutes to charge the battery capacity to 80%. Basically, if you charge it with the standard 6.6kW charger, to a full charge, it will take around seven hours.
Based on the official testing figures, the upcoming all-electric UX 300e will be able to cover around 186 miles on a single charge.
