2021 Lexus RX350 Redesign, Release Date

2021 Lexus RX350 front

The next-gen 2021 Lexus RX350 is in the works, and we have some exclusive photos. The RX is a favorite SUV among owners due to its excellent look, high build quality, and exceptional resale values. Like before, there will be plenty of customizations.

The RX line of SUVs includes models RX350, RX350L, RX450h, and RX450hL. F-Sport variants are available as well. Moreover, each of these models offers a unique look and longevity. Also, the hybrid variant is the best choice to go for, but it`s not affordable as the base model RX350.

2021 Lexus RX350 Exterior Offers Longevity

The 2021 Lexus RX350 will be refreshed with new materials and the manufacturer will add a bolder look. First of all, don’t expect significant updates, because some minor changes are happening. Lexus has used the same bold spindle-shaped grille and it added more chrome materials around it.

However, the spindle grille has a better pattern than before, and the front bumper is stronger looking thanks to bigger intakes. The next most visible change is the revised LED headlights, and the restyled LED taillights. Blacked-out C-pillars remain and it gives the same floating appearance as before. As we already mentioned, RX L models will be available as well and are 4.3 inches longer than the standard 2-row RX.

2021 Lexus RX350 Interior Look

Inside, we can expect only premium materials and techs. According to the latest news, the RX350 will feature the same arranged cabin-like predecessor. The base model is available as two rows seater, while RX350L offers more spaces inside and it comes with three rows. Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 is still standard equipment and it includes lane-centering, bicyclist detection, and road-sign assist.

The central dash will add more quality materials and 8.0 inches touchscreen system comes as standard. However, choosing upper trims, buyers can get a bigger 12.3-inch unit with a split-screen display. Android Auto capability and Apple CarPlay are also part of standard equipment.

Safety

Standard safety features include automated emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, automatic high-beams, and lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist.

2021 Lexus RX350 Powertrain Specs

Like before, the Lexus RX will be powered by two engine options. The new 2021 Lexus RX 350 models employ a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 295 horsepower. This engine is using regular gas and it`s available with an 8-speed automatic transmission and steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. The larger version RX 350L uses the same setup, but it will lose five horsepower due to its single exhaust pipe. The hybrid RX 450h and the bigger RX 450hL will be once more available. Both models are using the all-wheel drive and are powered with a 3.5-liter V6 and battery-electric powertrain.

The output of the models RX 450h and the RX 450hL is 308 horsepower. Also, this engine is fuel-efficient and it`s rated 31 mpg in the city. Towing capacity is still pretty good and all models above can cost maximum tow 3,500 pounds.

The release date of the new SUV will be sometime in 2020. The 2021 Lexus RX 350 will bring a more attractive look and some new techs inside. However, the price should remain the same as before. The base model that comes with FWD as standard will start at $45,000.
