2021 Buick Envision

The redesigned 2021 Buick Envision is set to arrive in late 2020. The new compact SUV will bring mild upgrades this time. This model is known as a great designed SUV that slots between smaller Encore and larger Enclave models.

Staring around $32,500, the Envision will bring better design and some changes inside. This model also undercuts the Lexus NX and Acura RDX by several thousand dollars. Under the hood, two engines will be offered. The first one that powers this SUV is a 2.5-liter inline-4 engine, while optional is still old 2.0-liter inline-4 turbocharged powertrain.

2021 Buick Envision Exterior Look

The exterior designs of the 2021 Buick Envision will be completely revised. The manufacturer will add sharper lines and bolder designs. Thanks to that, the 2021 Envision model will be more attractive.

However, the general body shape should remain the same and we can expect the same with its dimensions. The front of this SUV will get some refreshments that will include more chrome on an attractive and prominent grille and revised headlights. The tailgate will also be part of standard equipment, and it comes with a smaller chrome strip. The back will also host lower bumpers with different contouring and the reshaped taillights.

Interior Design and Equipment

The 2021 Buick Envision comes with a comfortable and modern designed cabin. This model is offered with two rows of seats and front seats are cozy, firm and supportive. There will be an 8-way power adjustment with 4-way lumbar support.

The standard model includes keyless entry and start, a rearview camera, an 8-inch infotainment screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and 4G LTE Wi-Fi. However, upper trim like the Essence adds leather upholstery with memory seats, heated steering wheel and 2nd-row outboard seats, 3-zone automatic climate control, and rear cross-traffic alert and blind-spot alert.

The Premium II model will bring even more features. This trim will be offered with adjustable thigh support for the driver, parking assist, a head-up display, automatic high beams, and navigation. Also, adaptive cruise control, automatic braking and a 360-degree camera is part of this trim.

2021 Buick Envision Powertrain Specs

The 2021 Buick Envision will return with the same two types of engines as its predecessor. The base Buick will come with a 2.5-liter inline-4 engine that will produce 197 horses and 192 pound-feet of torque. The engine sends power through a 6-speed automatic transmission, and it will be available with front-wheel drive as standard.

Also, an all-wheel-drive configuration is available as well but as an option. At this moment, we don’t know the exact fuel consumption numbers. The current model with the same engine and FWD system provides 22 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. However, the models with the all-wheel-drive system need more gasoline, so this one is rated 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the road.

The next unit is stronger. This engine consists of a 2.0-liter inline-4 turbocharged engine that generates 252 hp and a torque of 295 lb-ft. This engine will be linked to a 9-speed automatic gearbox and will get a standard all-wheel-drive system.
