The forthcoming 2024 Genesis GV90 will be the first premium three-row SUV made by this company. Like the G90 sedan, the new flagship SUV will look good and have enough space for all passengers to be as comfortable as possible.
On top of that, the GV90 will be an electric vehicle, since there have been multiple rumors saying that Hyundai has halted the development of internal combustion engines. As far as we know, the forthcoming model will ride on a new E-GMP platform, on which also sit models such as the Ioniq 5, the EV6, and the GV60.
2024 Genesis GV90 Design
The first renderings of the 2024 Genesis GV90 show a very attractive design. As we said, the new SUV is the company’s second entirely electric car, following in the footsteps of the GV60. So, it will ride on the same Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), which should handle large battery capacities.
Based on the available information, the new model will also share other parts with electric SUVs from Hyundai and Kia. It will definitely have a very long wheelbase and a distance between the axles of 126 inches, just like the Seven concept.
Roomy and Modern Interior
The 2024 Genesis GV90 will be the first Genesis vehicle to provide a full three rows of seating capacity, and enough room for seven passengers. It will also share many luxuries with the G90 sedan. Thanks to an impressive 3.2 meters (126 inches) of space between the axles, this SUV will provide great comfort, and even the passengers seated in the far back should have plenty of room to stretch out their legs.
We expect a large display, as well as a digital gauge. It will most likely include navigation, SiriusXM satellite radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a Bang & Olufsen stereo system.
2024 Genesis GV90 Motor Setup
At this point, we don’t know what will power the new 2024 Genesis GV90 model. Many rumors indicate that the forthcoming flagship will only be available with two motor setups, which will result in all-wheel drive as standard. While details remain scarce at the time of writing, we know that this SUV will ride on a new E-GMP platform.
From some rumors, the GV90 will have a range of at least 300 miles. If you have a fast charger, it shouldn’t take 20 to 30 minutes to go from 10 to 80 percent charged. Although we are not yet confident of the power statistics, we believe that it will offer a much higher performance compared to its GV60 sibling.
How Much Will the 2024 Genesis GV90 Cost?
The upcoming 2024 Genesis GV90 SUV will reportedly cost around $85,000 for the model with basic equipment. However, expect a significant increase when choosing some of upper trims.
As we said, the GV90 is the SUV that’s built on the E-GMP platform, which also underpins models such as the Kia EV9, the Hyundai Ioniq 7, and a few more three-row SUVs. When released next year, this SUV will compete with the Mercedes EQS SUV, and Tesla Model X.
