Finally, the new 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV has been revealed, providing an excellent range of 300 miles on one charge. According to Chevy, the forthcoming SUV, thanks to electric motors, is able to run from 0-60 mph in 4 seconds. General Motors will reportedly start production of the midsize SUV next year, while sales should start soon after.
After the release of the Bolt EV and Bolt EUV models, the Blazer EV is the next big thing. It is also worth mentioning that the new SUV will ride on the Ultium platform, featuring front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, and all-wheel drive models. The manufacturer claims that at the base trim level, this electric model costs $44,995, which makes it one of the most affordable luxury SUVs in its segment.
2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV Design
The new 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV looks awesome. It features refreshed styling compared to its gas-powered predecessor. It comes with an independent front and rear suspension, which is a big plus. Anyway, in terms of styling, each trim level gets a unique front fascia. The LT comes with a blanked-off body-color grille, while the RS adds a black grille and a full-width LED light bar.
The RS model also comes with a sporty side skirt. The SS is the most aggressive model, thanks to its black mask and black roof. This model rides on 22-inches wheels, while the LT rides on 19-inches and the RS on a 21-inch.
Loaded with Technology
The new 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV is loaded with technology. This SUV comes with a large 17.7-inch touchscreen paired with an 11-inch digital gauge cluster. Anyway, the RS and SS are more sporty models that add a flat-bottom steering wheel, ambient lighting, and lots of red accents.
With the base model, buyers can expect standard features like automated emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, front pedestrian detection and braking, and Advanced Park Assist. There should also be a new Super Cruise hands-free highway driving system that will make the ride more comfortable.
2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV Motor Setup
From the information that we got, the forthcoming SUV will be available in four trims, including 1LT, 2LT, RS, and SS. The 1LT, 2LT, and RS will reportedly be front-wheel-drive models, and all will offer 247 miles on a charge. All-wheel drive is optional on the 2LT and RS, while the 2LT, thanks to its bigger battery, should provide 293 miles of range.
Anyway, the RS model will be able to travel up to 320 miles. At the top of the range is the Blazer SS, which will pump out 557 horsepower and 648 pound-feet of torque. Chevy also revealed that the Blazer EV will be able to charge at up to 190 kW in 10 minutes using a DC fast charger.
How Much Will the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV Cost?
Confirmed by officials, the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV will arrive on dealer lots next summer. The 1LT costs $44,995, the 2LT will begin at $47,595, while the RS is $51,995.
The most expensive is the SS model, with a price of $65,995. According to Chevy, the new Blazer EV will be produced at the same Mexico factory where the current gasoline-powered Blazer is built.
